So in all your travels, what celebrities have you met (not seen, but actually at least said "Hi" to). It can be any celebrity: sport, movie, political, TV.

This is not a question to outdo the next person and who met the "biggest" celebrity. It could be the obscure, has been, or up-and-comer.

So for me (here in Maui), there was a celebrity tennis tournament back in the early 80's. I met Lloyd Bridges, Roger Mosely (T.C. from Magnum P.I.) and Ed Marinara (Hill Street Blues).

When I worked at a retail store when I was 18, Grace Jones came into the store wanting Ray Ban sunglasses. I was surprised because she's not that tall as I thought she was. She was around 5'8".

That's about it. Anybody else?

You know, I'm surprised that John Rhys-Davies doesn't do more voice over work for commericals and the like. He has got a great voice.

I don't know how many of these count as "celebrities", but I've met:

Derren Brown - UK Magician/entertainer
Electric Six - Band who did 'Gay Bar'
Paul Daniels - UK Magician
The Go! Team - Good band having reasonable commercial success
Alex Zane - MTV presenter
Alan Fletcher - The man who plays "Dr Karl Kennedy" in neighbours
Michelle Marsh and Lucy Pinder - Page 3 Models
Greg Dyke - Ex director general of the BBC

Yeah, probably nobody outside the UK will recognise them (and very few people in the UK too!).

Cheers,
Arktic.

I shook Doug Flutie's hand in an airport a few years ago (back when he played for Buffalo).

Back when I lived in Denver I used to go to Colorado Rockies' baseball games really early and get autographs from the players. I was only five so I don't remember it too well.

I saw Stevie Wonder in the Detroit airport a few years ago but didn't go up to him.

I haven't met/seen any other celebrities that I can think of at the moment.

I met a lady Riley Roam (she was a host on the fox kids TV channel here in Florida), though I don't know how famous she is. I also saw here filming something another time as I was driving by.

I was in a commercial on PBS several years ago (and my siblings and friends).

I think there was someone else, but I can't remember who...(obviously, they weren't famous enough to stick in my brain!)

I met Todd Hamilton (winner of the British open) since he lives probably no more than ten minutes away from me. He was at the golf course after he won signing autographs (my home course too btw). Of course, I had seen him before at the course, but he wasn't famous or anything until recently. I asked for his autograph too, said hi again and such.

I havn't seen him around recently, but I'll keep an eye out...I do have his autograph though! Does that count?

I'd really never met a celebrity before, but just now I got home from a consert where sir Roger Moore himself was present! That was about the most exillerating experience I've ever had, mainly because sir Roger Moore is one of the really big and respected actors... It was just awsome. Me and my friend got to shake his hand, take some pictures of us and talked a bit. He was there with his wife, and I think he's really a great guy, very gentle, polite and always smiling.. Here's some pics:

It was just great! razz
