New installers are now available for all FXhome products, bringing them to version 1.0.947. This is a recommended update for all users.

Click here to go to the downloads page.

Lots of new stuff in this update, including:

  • Online FXhome.com banner on the welcome screen points you to the latest and greatest website features.
  • The new speed tools have been updated and improved.
  • Split field projects now have correct terminology throughout the interface.
  • All the best presets are now included with the installer.
  • Various rendering fixes and minor graphical tweaks.
  • Swedish language translation now available - special thanks to Nils 'Redhawksrymmer' Croné for his hard work!

PROJECT ONE is revealed!

Co-directed by Joby 'er-no' Stephens and Adam 'Flameboy' Kirley, Project One has been in production since early 2004, with help from over a dozen FXhomers.

Having been kept top secret for years, it is now time to reveal the first glimpse of the film:

Click here to watch the Project One FXhome exclusive teaser trailer!

Stay tuned to FXhome.com for more Project One info coming soon and don't forget to visit the official website.

The FXhome Celebrity Contest

And now for something completely different.

Judging from this forum thread, a fair few of you have met some pretty cool celebs - so the next time you bump into your rich and famous buddies, we want you to snap a photo of them that includes the word 'FXhome'!

A printable FXhome logo can be found by clicking here if you need one, or you can just write it down yourself on a piece of paper if you bump into somebody unexpectedly.

Bonus points are up for grabs:

Submit photos either by posting a link as a reply to this thread, or by emailing the photo to us at team@fxhome.com. No Photoshop allowed and make sure you're polite - no paparazzi behaviour, please!

We're going to run this contest for the rest of the year and whoever gets the best photos will receive a rather unique prize for their hard work.

Good luck to everyone!

Cool! Just a couple of questions.

1. Should the auto installer be working?

2. Does the celebrity have to be involved with movies or television (i.e. actors, producers, directors, etc.) or can they be any famous person like sports stars?

Not yet, we're still ironing out a few issues with that one. Manual downloads are the way to go for now.

They can be involved in anything, we don't mind. razz

I read the changelogs, and i was very pleased to see that now the demo versions can be rendered with a watermark. I have lots of friends who are interested in fxhome products, but want to try them out for themselves first on their own footage and see how the rendered version looks. wise choice to make the watermark rendering available.

It also says " Timestamp checking removed and licence agreement updated."

does this mean that our programs will no longer be disabled every four months until we download the latest installer?

Dang, I will have to see if I can make contact with Richie when I go to Chicago in May.... maybe Lalaine as well if I am really lucky.... Though you all might not know Richie too well... more popular in Germany (Richie from the boy band US5, I am good friends with his brother).

Well, unfortunately I was not able to get a photo with Bobby Vinton. He left very soon after the show, and I was too busy packing up the stage and lighting to get away.

Ah well, onto the next one I suppose, haha.

Read about him if you like: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bobby_Vinton

"Billboard Magazine called Bobby Vinton "the all-time most successful love singer of the 'Rock-Era'". During the first ten years of rock and roll's existence, Vinton had more #1 hits than any other male vocalist, including Elvis Presley and Frank Sinatra."

The merchandise page on Cafepress seems to be down, maybe it's temporary but you may want to look into it. I was thinking about buying another shirt.

I think Schwar mentioned something about some of the designs not printing very well, so only the very best merchandise is available to buy now.

Cheers,

Yay. This is exciting. There's a couple of jazz guitarist legends in the city, from a couple of generations ago yes, but known as some of the greatest of their time. I've got to get some photos

Ok...I forgot to post this for the longest time, but here it is.

I met Michael Cassidy (he starred in the movie "Zoom") back in July. He sat behind me in Yankee stadium (you can tell). Unfortunately, the only camera I had with me was the one on my cellphone. He seemed to really liked how fxhome had low prices on their programs.
And he talked to me about making Zoom (it was during a rain delay).

Anyhow, I got his autograph, but the cheap camera wouldn't pick up the writing unless it was a video. I couldn't figure out how to send the video off of the camera, so I filmed the cellphone, and took better pictures of the autograph at home. And I finally got around to posting these.

Here is the picture from the cellphone.

A picture of the autograph taken at home.

The video of the video.

When I go to the Download page it says it is the installer for version 1.001.010and says "What's new in 1.001.010".

How do I get version 1.0.947?

Version 1.001.010 is the latest version, 1.0.947 is very old now (this news post is from April). We don't offer old versions for download.

Oops! My internet had been off for a week and then when I came back on I saw a thread at the top of one of the forum lists saying new version. I was so excited I didn't check the dates or version numbers. Where did I leave that red raced smiley... redface

Hello again,

Last week I had the privilege of meeting Mike Sweeney, captain of the Kansas City Royals, and 5 time all-star player. He gave a talk for young Catholic men at a mens' leadship forum in New York.

This time I came with a better camera and logo smile.
