You know sometimes I´m in the middle of editing a couple of scenes when I look at the clock and realize that it´s time to go to work. Unfortunately I have to leave right when a scene rendering is halfway done, and while I realize that when I return from work the rendering job will be complete, I then realize that in the total of 8 hours that I spent at work I only managed to finish rendering one scene(and that´s because I left while it WAS rendering). So I thought, why not have a separate render station in the FX software??? Like picture this: you´re editing on Effects lab or composite lab, and you realize it´s 2:45, and you gotta be at work at 3:15, oh, but it´s cool, I´ll just save my footage, and place it in the "ARC"(Automatic Render Bin) along with the other 4 clips that I had already pre-edited. When you get back home from work......PRESTO, files 1.mov, 2.mov, 3.mov, 4.mov, and 5.mov, are resting on your desktop, rendered, and ready.

I mean I thought about this because it happens to me every day, so I figured those of you who work would appreciate getting something done without necessarily being there. I thought it was a good idea, so I decided to share it, hopefully one of you guys will agree with me.

thanks;

If you could add Applescriptability to EL, doing that on a Mac would be a piece of cake. XP users: I have nothing to say to you.

Cheers smile

Probably. It's really a kind of proffessional feature, so most apps have something like it.

I'm guessing that if they ever do get a render station it will be VisionLab only
