hi guys,

We filmed a god sabre fight in the desert late last year but as yet ive been un able to finish it due to having to work on so many other projects.

The problem however, is the fight itself is about 2 or 3mins long, and has up to three sabres in it at one point.

Thats a lot of frames! I would love to have finished this myself but with all my other projects its proving difficult.

I am also concerned that this is my first good attempt at sabres and i dont wan it to look rubbish!

will add a a couple of screen shots, please let me know if anyone is after a ridiculously big project to take over their lives! Doubtful i know but hey!

Practice makes Perfect, and it does sound like you've got some ideal footage to practice on...

the deadline is not strict but the other guy in it want to use a part of it for his stunt register application which is in about a month and a half! Doubt you'll have time to do it by then.....!

What kind of time do you think it'd take you? Thanks again!

Its called 'trials of the jedi' and is based upon two jedi's fighting it out in order to pass the trials. simple but differant i thought!

Ben

up loading the file now!

Hey no problem ben. Just to let you know, it might take me a little while, because I'm also very busy with another project. Just put a file on the net and I'll get it done as soon as I can.

I'll have to view the clip before I can give you an estimation. Does it matter if I roto the lightsabers in Adobe After Effects or am I supposed to use EffectsLab Pro?

If you rotoscope it in ELab you could just send Ben the ELab file and he can change the colours and render it wink

Umm . . . Hate to say this, but your file is a .wmv

You can't use those in Elab. Upload one as an .avi or a .mov

Hey Ben when you shot this, did you shoot it in wide screen format? I matched the composition settings to that of your video clip and did a test output render and my output video doesn't look the same as the original footage so. It looks like the video is is being squashed from the sides. Have I confused you yet? lol

Size too big?

Compression helps. Check out Divx for good .avi compression, depending on the length, I'm sure you could get the size down from 1 GB considerably.
