I keep saying I'm going to work on these two, but I never get around to it. Hopefully this summer will be different.
Her Depths (working title), a horror/thriller
and
SA-37, a spy thriller.

I'm still ironing out the details, but for now, I hope to at least get a trailer done.

It's purely an action short, so the story is not that impressive. A guy running from his past as a hired killer. He takes his sister with him to another country and assumes a new identity. Of course, he is found by associates he used to work for, and has to decide if he will run again or stand and fight.

Can you guess which he will choose? biggrin

Hmm. Maybe he should just keep running. Nah that would be wimpy. So he must stand and fight. . . wink

I've probably got it all wrong. Let me go watch an action film and get back to you biggrin

Right now me and The Godfather are working on a modern day version of the Shakespeare play The Tragedy of Julius Caesar. We have only done a few scenes, and probably won't be able to finish production before school is out. sad

i was throwing around the idea of doing a short law and order kind of film based on the brutal rape of a small child for my ethics class. i think it will end with the defendant bludgeoning the district attorney and then fleeing to Canada. i could add a scene of the small child as a grown man and how he tracks down the source of his suffering and mutilates him with a pair of scissors. any suggestions would be much appreciated

keep up the good work

If I'm honest, that sounds like an unpleasant exploitation film of the lowest calibre. How on earth would it be suitable for an ethics class? That kind of material should only be tackled by A grade talent, and with the upmost sensitivity and sincerity. From your synopsis, you sound more interested in bloodshed.

EDIT:
Having just read one of your comments in another thread, I suspect you're trolling, and posted this to offend people. Well done, it worked.

------------------------------------------------

My project for this year was going to be a drama/thriller called "Solace", a screenplay I've been writing over the last year.

However a couple of months ago I was asked by my local drama group to helm a film adaptation of a play they had written called "Legacy". Its a gothic horror story set in the 1800's. I'm halfway through re-drafting the script, and begin location searching and photography tests this weekend. So far, we have a budget of £2500, with more to follow when we have confirmed our cast and locations.

Should be fun!

Pscycho Refrigerator Beach. A 17-20 minute (estimate) short black comedy. Have the screeenplay done, actors lined up and a couple of scenes shot already but hitting some delays on a location I wanted.

Cobra Productions and Triplec Films will begin the feature film adaptation of Fingerman this summer - tentatively titled "Dr. London and the Triangle Force". Shooting will begin in July and post will continue through the summer until complete. M.A.F.I.A. will be involved as well, providing some student PA's and some equipment. Expect a website dedicated to the film to appear sometime in late June. More on this later.

Most people already know about the soon-to-be on DVD Splinter Cell: The Gorsky Assignment , which will (hopefully) follow into the second film, Splinter Cell: The Midnight Virus.

Then, we've got a budget working, a drafted script, and 3 GL2s, so we're all hoping to make headway for our longest project, The Friendship. Then I have some others I want to make aside from the 'Atomic' group. Those being, a little short horror film, and a feature-length version of the 24-hour video race entry we did last weekend. We go to the showing of it today, then I'ma try and upload it later.

Keep cool mah B-O-I-z.

Here's a goal for you, stop posting until you've calmed down.

Attempting to insult someone who ultimately holds power over every action you do on these forums is not a very wise thing to do, though that fits.. As you're obviously not very bright.

All off topic posts will be deleted from here on. NickD - I appreciate that you're in the right here. But you don't need to reply to someone when they're clearly being a fool, that just creates more posts for me to delete. wink

I was just about to say, stop replying to this guy, ignore him, & he might just go away. He obviously thrives on attention.

But back to the topic, in the next few weeks I'll be completing shooting and editing of a feature made during this year of uni. The premiere is at the local cinema on June 13th, so I'll be working towards that deadline to get it completed crazy Here's a rough scene from it that's been cut down big time. Doesn't tell you what it's about, sorry. As I said, it's rough and doesn't have any ADR (WARNING, a 30 second section has hideous audio quality): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IA0X9t_8Tg0

After that, I hope to swiftly shoot a little action movie I've written, maybe over 2 days. Pretty excited about it because I'll be doing a few things I haven't seen in anything else as of yet, and shooting at some cool locations.

My friends and I decided that we want to just make a series of shorts rather than one longer movie. It will give us the opportunity to hone in on specific skills in each short. The first one, which I wrote, is called "Sand." I wish I could say more about it, but I don't want to post the script, and a simple plot summary doesn't really get the point across well. Right now we don't have any other ones written or conceived yet, but I'm hoping to come up with something to film when we take a road trip to Colorado. Something that will give us an excuse to film in the Rocky Mountains, which we don't get to do ever, living in Houston.

As most of yall know I am working on a fanfilm based off the video game Metal Gear Solid. Our film we be called "Metal Gear Solid: The Rise Of A New Blood". This is a low budget film that I have been wanting to make for years but I think this year may be my year to really make this film. I have great locations to film at and I am saving up for some more props for the film. Infact this weekend some of my cast and crew are coming this weekend to go over the script and stuff so now we are finally getting some where. But I can not be for sure that we will be able to film all of the movie this summer though cause most of my crew live 50 miles away so we do not get to do stuff that much but we are planing a big gathering this summer in June. We hope that our film will be finished on year 2007 but if we dont have a big film shoot this summer then we may have to wait another year to make this film. There is more info about our film on our main website of 5th Wheel Poductions.

Here is the link: http://5thwheelproductions.moonfruit.com/

Head down to "Our Projects" page to find out more.

Every one good luck with your films and I look forward to see them in the cinema smile.

Well I was planing on a short war of the worlds movie but that is being pushed aside for my first full feature length movie which we are still writing, another idea has come about but the feature is my first love at present.

And BtL is now in post so thats not too far off, my first real short movie for fxhome no less

This summer I will be producing and directing a feature length epic fantasy adventure. I originally got the idea back in the summer of 2003 and wrote the basic story. I originally had given the production up as hopeless until last year I found FXhome and became inspired again. I spent last spring and summer expanding the story and writing the script. The script is currently in revision but I have most of the cast and crew lined up and shooting is scheduled to start the middle of June and should progress throughout the summer and into next fall. It should be a huge challenge but also a lot of fun. biggrin

Actually, I'm working on my first "real" film as writer/producer/actor this summer.

My budget is 1000.00 USD, although I'm already sure I'm going over that budget and it will probably be about 1500.00.

I wrote the script, and I am playing one of the leads, and I am producing this thing.

I have secured some great talent to work on the film including a DP that has worked on the films Seabiscuit and SAW (as AC)
He is a friend of a friend and a big chunk of my budget is going towards flying him to Ohio from Los Angeles. I have been very fortunate that I have built a decent reputation around town working in the commercial world of video production and have had many people offer to loan me gear and time.
The film is called "motor lodge".

We are shooting June 23-26. I also still have not gotten a location for the shoot yet, which is making me nervous. We have secured a car for the first half of the film, one of my associate producers knows someone at an impound lot and they are basically "giving" us a car after the title clears.

There was a star trek fan film that I was going to help a couple guys with, but after getting to know the project a little better- it really wasn't something that I thought was up to my level right now. The guys are great, but the project has zero budget and little interest.... too bad. I also found out that some of the 3D stuff had been lifted and that was a disappointment. Jus t because someone says they are something (animator, director, etc...) doesn't make it true.
sad sad

well rthis summer me and some friends are remaking the first movie we ever made. it was made about 3 years ago, with an intel play camera. we didnt now how to cut, so to switch scenes we covered the camera, and ran to where we needed to get, and had to do it all in 2 minutes, because then we would run out of time.

it was called doom, and we kept making more sequels, most recent being doom reloaded, i think 5th or 6th, but it was made like a year ago, maybe 2. now we are going to make our first movie that is actually presentable. with an actual story line.
Although I don't know what to call it. We can't just use Doom, since its a game and a movie. Maybe someone could help me think of one?
BTW it's about this guy named dr. doom making a doomsday device, and theres action in it. like a mission impossible type movie, but if you have any suggestions, please stick with the name either containing doom in it, or based on that. I'm thinking we might just make it Doom Reloaded,

Any ideas from you guys?

All summer i will be working on a new Intro for my schools news, which we show every friday morning. The current one is really old, and really dosent look to great.

I've designed a new intro,
Which we will be doing on a greenscreen, and then i am going to create outlines of each person, and create a 3d image of each using after effects.

Its made in a way, so that the "virtual cam" pans past the outline,
and then continues on to the next. Ive tested it out with animation.
The only challenge will be getting perfect footage from the full size green screen.

Its going to be intresting.

I'm working on a Batman / Superman fan film (I'm sure most of you have seen my post quite a few "flying" questions). We started shooting a couple of weeks ago, and it looks like we'll be running through to September or so.

Our budget has recently hit around 1500USD and will probably balloon to around 2000USD.

I don't really have a website for it, I'm just using my myspace.com profile to display it for now.

I have a few ideas for movies, but they've not even beeing working on.
I'll do at least some of them some time.

Monkey Madness 2
TMSFTME³ ( what it stands for I'll tell when it's done razz)
1000 best ways to die.
Return of the Pirates.
COS (I'll never make this neutral )

But this summer I might work on some of those movies, but I bet I'll rather enjoy the summer, and maybe make a stupid movie that will blow/rule.

I just finished my Old Man of the Woods movie.

I am writing a fantasy movie for the Blankety Blank contest.

I am going to film a spoof comercial about dehydrated water. I may send this to the 60 second film festivel.

I want to make an action movie also.

Not sure if xperiment was asking me what my film is about, but I'll answer anyway smile

In the film, children begin to disappear at random all across Gotham City. The number gets so high that Superman decides to look into it himself, even though Batman has warned him to "stay out of my city." In this film, Batman and Superman meet for the very first time.

Meanwhile, the Scarecrow escapes from Arkham so Batman has to deal with that, along with the reappearance of Catwoman.

Bruce Wayne begins to date Selina Kyle (not knowing that she's Catwoman), all the while pulling Wayne Enterprises out of a contract with LuthorCorp for a new U.S. Defense project known only as "Messiah."

During all of this, the true villian of the story shows up and is the one who is making the children disappear. Eventually, people all across the globe (adults as well as children) begin to vanish. These events begin to unfold towards the "Final Night," which also happens to be the title of our film smile So far the working title is "Final Night," but it may change to "Batman / Superman: Final Night." Not sure yet.

Again, I'm not sure if I'm the one who was asked, but there you go.

Well, in these forums number of posts don't equate to force. Your post puts the finger on it when you mention "help". If you do help people out by offering useful help and knowledge to posts/questions in the forums, then maybe your force will increase.

On the other hand, don't get hung up on it.

hey if i wanted to change my lightsaber color, could i? or do i need more Force? and i just wanted to also check if The Force, like the one from Star Wars, is patented, because i wanted to make my own movie involving The Force. Also, projects begun during the winter that extended until the summer, could they be considered a summer project?

This forum has plenty of requests for help. But you should be helping because you want to contribute to the community, not for force points. You're coming across as a little sad and desperate at the moment, which is more likely to result in -1's. Is it really that big a deal?

If you're that desperate for Force, buy the FXhome software. Then you'll have plenty.

I can always use the help.

I'm working on a project that started March of this year and were still shooting it because we can only work on weekends!

More info about the movie on the site.

It's a live action anime style film with magic and ki so it's got lot's of special effects but it's not about making cool effects it's about telling a story.

well my movie, the armistice, will begin shooting soon. I just finnished the final draft of the script. It involves action. It's a taking over the world kind of thing. Although in the end, all the fighting is resolved through a dangerous game of soccer. All i can say is, with my cheap 100 dollar camera and no other equipment, it wont be the best, but hopefully not the worst either.

All I need now is maybe a composer, for some music, but I don't have the money to afford one. Can anyone help?

If you don't want to do it on the forums, ask family, friends, etc.

heh thanks. i think ive learned my lesson by trying it here. I'll try that out, but as I stated in a recent topic, you don't need state of the art equipment to make a movie.

I'm a composer and I'd love to help. If you'll just inform me somehow of your email address I shall send you a few samples of my work. Your project sounds quite interesting.

Good luck, Proffesor. It sounds like its going to be good.

I'm probebly going to try to shoot a short, little, comedy about the frustrations and mediocirty of school. But I too, like The Proffesor, only have a really bad 100-200 doller camera, so it probebly won't look so good.

Gotta Gogh Too!

the second of the Gotta Gogh series, me and my friend made it up sort of on the spot, I used Chromanator to edit Gotta Gogh 1 so maybe I should submit it...what ever.

Gotta Gogh is a secret agent Hired by an unknown agency that contacts him through a man that calls himself Superior.

Gogh fights Dr. von Evil-Satan and tries to save the world from his evil plots.

We made it as a comedy, so we based the movie around the joke of a stuntman that looks nothing like the star, I was the stuntman, and my friend was Gotta Gogh, we look nothing alike. The cuts were seemless in some spots people were confused that a switch accured. But sadly we're dumping Gotta Gogh's roots of the stuntman joke and we're starting from scratch, it's still going to be comedy, but I've added another character for me to play, Gehtt Dunn, so I didn't want people to be confused and ask things like why is Dunn wearing Gogh's Clothes...woah, Say that ten times fast
(Gogh's Clothes?) any ways we plan to have the filming dunn... I mean done by the end of summer and lucky me I'm the editor, and I'm in charge of sound effects...hey I'm the camera man too! basically I do every thing, oh well at least we've got a backup camera man
