I don't know about everyone else who has read this thread, but I think your post is quite hard to decipher.

Cheers,

Hello jgtrox2. I am sorry to hear you are having a problem, but I am having a slightly difficult time understanding exactly what the problem is. What operating system did you purchase your license for, Windows, or a Macintosh? You mention that you have purchased a new computer, is this computer the same operating system as the computer you originally installed EffectsLab on?

For a moment I am going to assume that you are attempting to transfer your program from a Windows, to a Windows. Unless there is some reason you are not able to, you must un-install your program from the first computer, Start menu>Control panel>Add or remove programs, then locate EffectsLab from the list of applications, and select Change/Remove.

You would then install the program onto your other Windows system by going to the downloads page, and downloading the full "DV" Windows installer. You can also download the installer from within your user options. At this point you must then obtain your program key, as EffectsLab will ask for this when you start the application; with out it, the program will not work. This key is also located in your user options.

If your new computer is a completely different type of operating system than your previous one, you will not be able to install EffectsLab onto it with out purchasing a license for that operating system. Example: Trying to download an installer for a Windows, when you have purchased a license for a Macintosh.

I am uncertain what you mean when you say that it downloaded to your computer when you signed on. Could you please elaborate? Although I would like to be of more assistance to you in this issue, I am unable to offer any other suggestions until you supply more details as to what precisely is occurring.

Good luck with this.

If there is nothing preventing you from doing so, simply remove the program from the computer you no longer wish to have it on. The only time that this becomes an issue is if you continue to run the program on two separate computers, which is in violation of your license agreement.

If your other computer is no longer in use, in any way, I wouldn't imagine this to be a problem. However, if you are using both programs in conjunction with one another, I would recommend discontinuing one of the programs.

Have a great day.

It was my understanding that I was assisting you with an installation issue. I may have misinterpreted your original post. If you are seeking a way to circumvent your license agreement, I can not be of any assistance to you.

I am not aware of exactly how flexible you can be with having the same program on two computers, but if you wish to, I would imagine it is best to purchase two licenses, just to be on the safe side. Contact the team at team@fxhome.com if you have any inquiries regarding your license agreement. For the time being, if there is nothing preventing you from uninstalling the program from one of your computers, I would do so.

Enjoy the program.

If you wish to use EffectLab on your new computer, you should move all of your movies to that computer as well. You can only use it on one computer or the other, so if you have a new one, I would recommend moving all of your video editing programs and files to the new computer as soon as possible. Faster is better, when it comes to effects editing, so transferring your stuff to the faster computer is the wise course of action.

If you want to install EffectsLab on multiple computers, you need to buy multiple licences. Anything else is a violation of the licence agreement, and your key will be revoked.

Please make sure you are only running EffectsLab on a single machine.

Does that mean, if I want to use EffectsLab (or anything else) on two computers, I have to buy it twice?

It depends on the program. Some come with multiple licenses, most don't. FX Home products DON'T.
