As requested by the community, we've been hard at work creating a series of video tutorials that explain how to use FXhome products. We've got a nifty tutorial navigation system in development but that's still a few weeks away.

In the meantime, here's a quick list of the first set of tutorials...

UPDATE: All tutorials can now be found in the new support area. Click here to go there!

Interface basics

What's next?

We have many more tutorials planned, which will cover more advanced topics such as the effects engines, sophisticated compositing techniques and digital colour grading. There will also be tutorials that cover specific effects techniques in step-by-step detail.

If anybody has any specific requests for future tutorials, let us know and we'll try to fit them into our schedule.

Great to know that the tutes are directly helping people out - even experienced users like you guys!

Now that the main 'basics' set is complete, I'm going to turn my focus towards some more advanced tutorials. Hopefully they'll prove just as informative.

Redhawk - doing a video tutorial of your 'ILM technique' is definitely a good idea. I'll put it on the list. smile

Update: Just added a Playback & preview rendering tute that should have been there in the first place, but for some reason got missed off the list.

It may be cool to have some tutorials on say the presets. Making them, uploading/downoading, using them etc. It may help answer some basic questions in the forum.

That masking tute is unbelievably useful! And some of those things should have been so obvious, but I didn't get them until I had it explained with a video depiction. Nice!

Yeah, masking in general is a strange one. Once you understand it, it all seems so blindingly obvious, and you wonder how you ever did without it. But if you're a beginner and haven't encounted masking before, the concepts can seem very, very abstract. Glad to hear the vid tute's helping!

Brennan - Preset tutorials are on the list, I'll get to them eventually. biggrin

Tarn, those are some of the most professional tutorials I've ever seen! Very informative and brilliantly presented. And ofcourse, having a great voice - over artist that is easy to listen to with perfect pronunciation is a huge bonus. I've learnt a lot and was very impressed throughout. smile

EDIT: Is there any way to download the tutes for viewing offline too?
