Hey guys. I posted this earlier on another thread but thought I'd start a new one specifically for Fingerman the feature so I could have a central place to update it. CX3 stars as Chris, the main character. Here are some sneak pics from the shoot so far. We're about 5/6 done shooting. Enjoy!

MOD EDIT: Pictures put in link form for those with slower internet connections, as it previously took far too long to load. By the way, the movie looks good.

Looks great from the pics - how on earth did you get the guy to fly sideways in that last photo? smile

Does the feature begin where the short film ended, or does it re-tell those events in a big-budget, epic manner, utilising all the skills you guys have picked up over the last few years?

Tarn: The film will be an origin story, like a Fingerman "Begins" kind of story, so more big budget epicish. It ignores what happened in the short because the short was more of a character sketch for me. We had two sequel shorts planned, but they never worked out. Since I decided to do a whole feature film instead, I took all the best parts from the unfilmed sequel scripts and one or two things from the short, then teamed up with a good friend and cowriter in Chicago and added a great deal more to the film. The feature will have a deeper plot, and lots more hilarious and distinct characters. More on all that later! As far as the guy flying through the air. That's Steve Wolery (Templar La Magra from Daywalker). Gravity somehow has no effect on him. Neither do impacts with solid objects like...the ground. Anything for the shot! wink

Sollthar: Thanks man. Will do!

Miker: Thanks!

As I said in the other topic. Those photos get better in order! I'm not too impressed with the jump/kick though, could he not have been higher? razz

Get yourself online for a chat soon ajjax, I might be in your neck of the woods in early September wink

Probably be best to put updates in actual replies. That way the new stuff will be noticed, as the thread will bob to the top of the listings and people that are subscribed will get an email notification. If you just edit the first post, it's easy to think that nothing has been added.

You can always edit the original post as well linking directly to the subsequent posts, so that newcomers realise there's more info further into the topic.

Cobra Production's second feature film, "Fingerman: Dr. London and The Triangle Force" wrapped principle photography in early August with a modest crew and a cast of over 30 people including CX3 as Chris Cowan (a.k.a. Fingerman), Jason Miller as Dr. Isosceles, Dan Davidson as Dr. London, Steve Wolery as Clinton, Noah Applebaum and co-writer James Flynn both as Lemonade Stand guys, Aaron Epstein as Ricky the Intern, and this time around we will be introducing a lovely new actor Lisbet Portman as Chris' love interest. I am very happy with how the film has turned out so far and I am proud to say that the dailies have proven to be a lot better and funnier than I imagined (and I imagined a lot). Thankfully, I was given the gifts of talented up-and-coming actors, a loyal and dedicated crew, as well as great friends on set every day - all helped out tremendously.

Some (sort of) bad news however: The editing will be put on hold until Chris (CX3) Cowan moves here to Los Angeles around October/November. We will also be double teaming on X3i: Divinity (CX3's feature) and Fingerman both at that time. Currently, I am not positive about how either will be distributed, however I can say that with Fingerman, I will start at the top and try to find an outside distributor for theatrical release, and one who would be willing to do mass DVD distribution globally. The possibility of this looks pretty good after showing a few producer colleagues some of the dailies and rough scenes, but I understand that there is a lot of luck involved with that sort of thing and so I am prepared to self distribute if necessary and use all profits to make either a sequel, or another film altogether. Thanks to everyone for your support and I will keep you posted as more develops! I can promise everyone lots of laughs from this film.

Hey guys. It's been a while since I posted on here, cause I've been so busy with work. Reason is: I've been saving up hardcore so I can afford to take the time I need for editing.

Good news: CX3 just moved in with me out here in Hollywood last week and he's already causing trouble wink. I got him working on a Sketchers commercial this week so he could get some extra cash and start meeting people. I, on the other hand, have been stuck in the apartment doing a lot of random editing jobs as well as occasional DPing jobs to pay the bills and save up. I'm approaching recovery from the financial hit I took to make Fingerman on my own dime and I am about ready to finish the movie next month. Divinity and Fingerman should both be viewable by early next year. I am planning on going to festivals with Fingerman and then seeking a distributor for theatrical (hopefully) and DVD (definitely) release. The Fingerman premiere is going to be in a few towns back home in Ohio including my old college town at the MAFIA film festival, and probably Columbus, where Noah Applebaum, one of the actors in Fingerman, works at a theater and can get us the hook up cheap. Anyone on here is more than welcome to come to those and I'll have more details on them later on down the road.

Anyway, after some careful thought I decided to go ahead and post these two rough clips from Fingerman, even though I've been intentionally avoiding posts of Fingerman footage because I don't want to give away too much. I changed my mind though cause I think these clips get the point across subtly without being too spoileriffic. They are likely to change a lot in the final cut of the film so don't look at these as the final product - especially 'cause I don't have the right score to them yet. Here they are:

PARTY STEADICAM SHOT
Description: Clip of a single take 4 min steadicam shot I did through the neighborhood 4th of July Picnic from Fingerman. I picked this clip to show because it gives you a good idea of many of the characters in the film and their relationships.

BIKE CHASE
Description: Clip of part of the climax of the film. This is not complete and should just be watched as a teaser of sorts. The music is jacked from another film as a temp score so I could have something to cut to. Expect a lot more intercutting in the actual film because there are a few other climaxes going on at the same time as this chase.

Well that's pretty much got you guys up to speed I think. I hope you enjoy. It's 5 in the morning here and I have to get up at 10 so I can finish a few more editing jobs before I leave for Thanksgiving to go back home. Time to catch some zzzz's. Later.

Fingerman: Dr. London and The Triangle Force is about 75% complete as of today. I think it'll be about a week and a half before it's all the way done and viewable. By then I should have a trailer up! Just wanted to let you guys know that it's almost done and to keep an eye out for the trailer! Also, be on the lookout for the new X3i: Divinity extended trailer when it goes up in the cinema in a few days. It's pretty sweet.

Fingerman is complete! Now we're looking for distribution. The film has a sales agent taking care of the legwork in that arena. Have a few leads so hopefully this year we'll see it on the shelves somewhere or another...Maybe even in another language lol! Anyway I wanted to just update this thread since it hasn't been touched in a year or so...Here's the LATEST TRAILER for Fingerman that I made to include with the distribution deliverables.

Hey Aculag

Honestly I haven't been working on it at all. I really finished the editing for it about a year ago but I had to redo all of the audio and make this new trailer so I could abide by the contract. Things are slow apparently in the independent distro arena (as is the rest of the economy) so hopefully once that all clears up we'll be good to go. But dude!!!!!! Larry Blamire liked it haha! He mentions it in this DV magazine article about the last two movies I did with him:

http://dv.com/articlefeatures/78728

PM me and let me know how you're doing. Haven't talked to you in a while!
