Hey
im am getting Composite lab pro in 2 weeks and i wanted to know if i can do the effect off someone being cut in half by using this method.

1)first get a backdrop or part off the scene

2) get my actor to stand in a spot where the backdrop is the same
as my stock footage. and get the actor to fall left

3) get my actor to stand in the same spot but fall right this time

4) go into composite lab and put them all together getting rid off the parts of the body i dont need

so will it work?

B3N, instead of asking all of these tedious questions, you should probably just d/l the demo. And if you're getting it for your b-day anyway, just wait until you get it - it's not like your buying the product depends on this question.

Or, to answer your question...

Yes, that could work.

Just use two square masks! One for the lower body and one for the upper body!
