hi, I have just started using alamdv, I started out using a version of alamdv 1 but encountered problems with resolutions when exporting and using in media100, I want to purchase a copy of alamdv2 but before I commit I need to know if I am going to encounter the same problems with alamdv2. Can anyone help, maybe some one has overcome these problems and could offer me some advice, i would be very grateful.
Also I need to know if the serial code works on the mac version and the PC version as I am not sure which platform I am going to have to use. (making my final year film at univeristy)

Thankyou to whoever takes the time to read this smile

hey,

i had the same reservations as you did. tard

I just finished a project on Premirer 6.0 with a screen size of 720x480 using 3 chip sony camera. I cut out the scenes that I wanted effects put into, imported the smaller clips into ALAMDV and added what I wanted. I then rendered my work reinserted them into premiere, replaced the sound and finalized my project.

You cant tell the difference in the quality of the scenes I imported into Alam and those I did not. There is no loss of the digital information. I am very happy with the program.

Some of the effects need to be updated, but that will happen in time. And they are getting better and better. So who knows what the next post will bring!?!

Email me if you have any questions

u should go and check out the forum a bit more, schwar (the maker of alam) has posted about the improvements etc to the enw version of alamdv 2, it has basically all the same stuff as version 1, but is a lot easiers, and you can do more things...
