When Ben and Atom's thread escalated into what people's pet peeves are, it got me thinking, and I want to know what the rest of FXhome's peeves are.

Mine are probably people who say 'moron' because it's probably the lamest insult on the planet. Also, if someone touches my food, breathes on my food, or asks if they can have a bite of my food or a drink from my water bottle, I will either just give the item in question to them or get uber-defensive like Gollum. (hehe, I'm like Monk!)

Any others?

Whoa. Whoa. Whoa!

Settle down, if anything, it elevated. Let's not throw around "escalated" like nothing here. wink Elevators can carry wheelchairs, escalators can't. There's a difference.

Pet peeve, still, people leaving the security tape half-off on their DVDs. What? Can you not peel 2 inches of sticky plastic off a case?

That, and people who lick either their finger or the paper to turn the page of a book. That's so disgusting, one, and rather pointless, two.

Anyone who's zealous beyond all reason and fact towards something or other. These people are also known as either a.) Walls or b.) Bricks.

I also really hate it how you can't get SATA optical drives yet. That's ridiculous.

People that have the time to go out and make films for fun while the rest of us have to work, work, work, just to keep a roof over our heads.

I have to go along with Atom, just taking it a step further. Anyone who leaves stickers on things for years. DVD cases, game cases, DVD players, anything like that. Once they're on long enough THEY WONT COME OFF CLEAN. evil

People who use the word 'literally' when they're actually talking figuratively really annoys me.

Similarly, but to a lesser extent, when people use the word 'irony' without any concept of what it actually means. More often than not, people just mean 'coincidental' or 'funny'.

Another thing, when people misuse apostrophes. Infact, at work, they had a noticeboard where you could write up complaints and suggestions for the managers to read. One of the managers had printed off a sign and put it above the board that read:

"What Annoy's You?"

Which was literally ironic! [sic] wink

Cheers,
Arktic.

My pet peeve is when people say they have pet peeves! lol

Hmm... a real pet peeve of mine would be when people you don't even know you or you don't them well and they give you their opinon. Or when people say things to piss you off. That annoys me, which kinda makes them the victor though lol

when I'm at a concert and they are playing a song off the speaker system inbetween bands setting up, and people are singing along with that. for whatever reason, I want to do horrible, Patrick Bateman-esque things to these people. Come to think of it, there are probably 500 little things about people who go to concerts that pisses me off which have attributed to the reason that I stay away from life music all together now

I can't stand it when people either forget to fix or are just too lazy to fix ball marks on greens, when tee boxes are not level, and when people misuse words.

People who leave old election stickers on their cars for long after the election is over... I just think that's rather sad, especially if it's the loser's bumper sticker... *cough* Kerry/Edwards *cough*

They lost, get over it.

I remember Brad Bird talking about this, saying how a "Best Animated Feature" oscar is a stupid idea. I agree with the Birdy

Number one pet peeve is Ipod. arg. Ipoo on Ipod

Number two, to go along with destron. Environmentalist’s that burn SUV’s because they waste gas... and burning a +$50,000 car doesn’t waste resources how? not to include the environmental issues that come with smoldering SUV smoke and ash going into the air, good idear guys (pat on the back).

Last, food on peoples face's. Eat it for heavens sake, don’t waste it on your face, and if u miss a little have the decency to wipe it off, don’t leave it there until next time u eat.

There’s my three quarters of input.

I hate people that drive SUVs alone, most people like me don't burn SUVs (or burn any cars at all for that matter), but do advocate not buying them.

I hate the PC vs Mac aruments, that was so high school.

And I hate tripping over a tripod or cord while I'm animating, that sucks
