Does anyone know how/can make the chidori and/or rasengan effects from Naruto? I'm sure some of you know what I'm talking about, and if not, I don't have any pictures. Anyway, I was hoping someone would know how to make the full effect of chidori (simpler, just ball with lightening, I will try myself) or rasengan (the beginning outward swirling, then the compressed swirling ball). I would be very greatful if anybody could make these, or at least help me out.

Okay, well this preset http://fxhome.com/presets/info_cache/preset233.html appears to be something that would work well, but I need it to stay in a contained circle and just keep spiraling. Does anyone know how to do that?

Could you just put a circular mask on the effect, to mask it out beyond a certain radius?

The wormhole preset is probably as close as you'll get to rasengan-just tweak it a bit and add some cool lighting effects, and it should be fine.

Chidori, on the other hand, has lots of lightning, which you would pretty much have to use stock footage for. Here are some pictures I found of chidori:

i did a rasengan versus chidori clip to see what stock effects can pull it off on visionlab and here are the early results....now i know more about particle effects i might redo this footage, that is if i still have the original sad

Hey you guys, I was wondering how they did the effects in this video, can you even do it in fxhome or do you need after effects? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJZsbb3QeVQ&eurl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww%2Enarutards%2Ecom%2Fmovie%2Ephp%3FmovieID%3D5
