The speed trail is great but not the heat vision. I mean the actual heat beams coming from his eyes.

The effect in that pic looks quite do-able, with a heavy displacement applied to a particle beam.

I have accomplished this effect using CLab and Pinnacle Studio 9.

To get the ripple effect on the clip, I used the "mirage" filter in Pinnacle, and then messed with the settings until the ripples were going in the right direction at the right speed, and were at the right intensity, etc. Of course that affected the whole picture, so in CLab I put the original, non-rippling clip over the altered one with the ripples. Then I masked the top layer out in the shape of the beams so that the ripple effect showed through in that shape, and animated the masks to shoot out of the eyes and such. Also i upped the brightness in the ripple layer.
The effect looks a little more like the heatvision from season 2, but you could probably make it look a bit more like the newer version with this. http://fxhome.com/alamdv2/plugins/info_cache/plugin746.html

Click emitter attributes on the timeline, drag the emitter to wherever the heck you want it, adjust the emitter angle to shoot out of the eyes the way you want it to.

The only way to receive access to support and presets is to buy a legitimate copy from FXhome.com or one of our resellers. I suggest you get your money back from 'some guy' as he has probably broken the licence agreement by selling it to you.
