After the Paris Expo we hinted that some big announcements were on the way, so here's the first: FXhome finally has an official headquarters, at the brand new Henderson Business Centre in Norwich.

The Big Move

FXhome has evolved into a much larger company than it was five years ago. We've expanded from a single product to five and have seen an explosion in the number of FXhome.com members, while the team itself has grown to enable new technologies and future products.

With projects becoming increasingly complex and events like the Apple Expo in Paris drastically altering our press interaction, it was decided that the virtual office we've operated since 2001 was no longer sufficient. Something more practical was required.

The New Office

The hunt for premises led us to the Henderson Business Centre, which only opened in July and is designed specifically for businesses like FXhome. After some careful shopping around, furniture and equipment was installed and the office was fully functional within a couple of days. We officially moved in on Monday 2nd October.

We're expecting the office to have a big impact on FXhome.com and our products, simply due to the increased efficiency and speed with which we can work. The first results of that new productivity will be revealed later in the year, so keep an eye on these pages to make sure you don't miss any exciting developments.

Well Tarn, as I am sure I have expressed before, this is good news. It is nice to see FXhome adapting the professional working atmosphere that it has always deserved. Now that the think tank is assembled, there are surely no limits to what you guys will accomplish.

I want to assure everyone else that Tarn talking to himself is not a new development. Everyone knows about this, as it has been going on for quite some time, and everything is fine. The most important thing to take note of is that Tarn is alright, and this is actually how he comes up with these well crafted news articles.

In all seriousness, to reiterate, I know you guys have been looking forward to having an office, and I am glad to see it become a reality. Good luck with the new work space, I hope you all enjoy it as much as possible.

The office looks great.
Wizard.

Thanks (as always) for all the positive feedback guys!

You have all helped make this possible with your commitment to FXhome and our software! We hope that being much more organised will mean better software in the future and a better community. The 2 days we've been in the office so far have already proved what a productive and streamlined enviroment it should be!

Our new digs (The Henderson Business Centre) is supported by local government and therefore heavily funded to improve the local area. We looked a quite a few places, some which were 1/3rd the size (i.e. TINY) yet cost up to 3 times as much!

We are very lucky to have found this place which is both stunning quality and very affordable - not unlike FXhome.com... sorry wink

Thanks again guys, if you're in Norwich drop us a line and come and say hello! biggrin

Glad the video raised a chuckle. smile I also meant to say thanks to Klut for the funky electricity credit at the end of the video - he came up with that awhile back, and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to use it.

And Waser, seriously, we'll be going to the gym at least once, maybe even twice a year. We might even break out a sweat.

The monthly video podcast is a cool idea, although I'm not sure what we'd actually say in it!

It looks like we'll be in the U.K. in January, barring any major misfortune. You should post some sort of map as to where you are in relation to Heathrow. I wouldn't mind swinging by to see it in person. biggrin

Congrats on the new HQ.

Wow, that video somehow reminded me of the old AlamDV Video tuts. I still remember vividly watching Tarn wearing that mask, that was quite a while ago it seems.

Excellent news guys, great to see the company grow. Always worries me a bit when small businesses make that nest big step but with the support of the community and the strength of your products you will succeed.

I know I've said this before (and you all ignored me) but you need to be getting reviews in some of the UK Digital video magazines. Your products are within reach of most amateurs price wise yet deliver such amazing results.

And a small note to all non UK based members... Sorry guys but Norwich is not in London it's about 100 miles away smile

Thanks again guys! Even if FXhome is growing a little bit larger over the coming months we always want to retain our small community charm! To this end we'll be refocusing on spotlights in the near future to get some of your stories out there for all to see! I also hope that before too long we'll have our next (long over due) community chat event...

ben3308 - Hehe, some classic images there from back in the day. That film of Tarn still cracks me up! I'm not sure what he was thinking - I expect its only a matter of time until the same tutorial making derangement affects him again.

petet2 - We are listening to you but we are a little slow wink. Start checking out computer and film magazines over the following months and I expect you'll see us popping up in the few places. We should be in some UK magazines as early as next month!

As petet2 quite rightly says, Norwich is about 120miles north-east of London. We have good rail links to the capital so it only takes about 2 hours on the train from Liverpool Street and you'll find yourself in sunny Norwich.

Would love to make a suprise visit as well.
But it' a shame if one of these things happen:
A: They are not working that day, or I'm too late.
B: They don't recognize me, and when I explain who I am, they still dont know who I am... Untill I do something stupid.

So uh... when can we expect the first 'New Recruit Training' video? I mean, since you have an office now you've got to have a cheesy instructional video.

Anywho; congrats on the new office guys. For some reason that seems really cool to me.
