I guess (depending on your imagination and creativity) you could make the explosion and rocket trail using the particle system.

You should buy the program. Seriously. Its awesome. No I'm not being paid to say that. Or that either. Not only do you get access to the presets, you get to help shape the future versions of the program.

Think about it razz

Apart from access to Presets, if you use a paid-for version of the program you will impress your mates more by not having a great big X across your footage wink

I'm not connected with the company either but have to say that the products are definitely worth buying and the community definitely worth joining.

I agree with Petet2, also if you do create somthing on the trial version that you really like, when you get the paid-for version you cannot transfer it over. All the work you did will be lost!

Not trying to be mean, but what is the point?

You won't be able to save it, when you render it there is a big white X over it, the effect can be made in EffectsLab so what is stopping you buying it? razz

Like we have said in this thread, you will get access to presets of which there is a rocket trail preset in smile

Indeed, stock footage is still the best solution for explosions. You can find some free stuff at www.detonatonfilms.com and there are numerous sites where you can purchase explosion footage.

A rocket trail would involve a particle emitter with smoke textures, where the particles move very slowly, and are separated form the emitter, so they just kind of hang in the air as they are emitted.

I went ahead and answered this because I was feeling friendly, but you cannot typically expect to receive support for software you don't own.
