THE OFFICIAL LOGO REQUEST THREAD

Due to the constant stream of logo request threads, I have decided to post a thread for all new logo requests to be posted in. As far as the logo request threads that still remain, they can still be posted on, but from now on, it would clean up the forums considerably to consolidate all logo/title requests into this thread.

orange_light HOW IT WORKS: orange_light

The easiest way to keep this thread clean and easy to read will be to run it almost like an assembly line. I will keep a list on this post that will show the current top 5 people in line for a logo/title, and that way those who are interested in designing logos can easily find a user, and their studio name/movie title without having to scroll through countless pages of requests.

To get in the line of requests, just make a post on this thread with the info that you want for your title/logo, and you will be placed in line.

To designers: Once you have completed a logo, please don't post it on the thread, but rather PM it to the user who it is for. Once the user is satisfied with a logo, they should post in this thread with a message simply saying: 'Complete'. That way I can easily remove them from the line.

TO CLOSE . . .

If anyone has questions, feel free to post them on this thread, or preferably, PM me.

Mods, if you think you want to sticky this, that's fine

OK, I'll start by adding my logo request. Zero767 is working on one, but the more choices the better.

I'd love for someone to make a logo for me. I made one a while back, but its terrible.

Studio Name: Crimson Flame Studios

no requests, make it how you want it.

Also, nickd, you should add a spot on the list for people who are willing to offer force in return for their logos.

What kind of logo's are we talkin'? Like just a graphic logo? Or an animated video logo like what Super posted up there?

If I have time I might design a logo or two, but I can't do motion stuff.

EDIT: well nothing too fancy anyway.

You currently have 200 Force. (You can see this at the upper right of every post you make, by the way.) To donate some force to the person who creates your logo film, click on "User Preferences" up in the menu at the top of the page, then scroll down to the bottom of the list and click on "Force Transfer". This will bring up a window where you can put in the user name of the person you are donating to, the amount you wish to transfer, and room for a comment to send along with it.

Just remember, you can't donate *all* of your force, you have to leave some behind in your own account. But you should be able to send 50 to the creator of your logo, even if you have to do it in a couple of shots. (I don't remember what the max amount is that you can transfer in one shot.)

There isn't a set "max" amount. I think it might be like 10% of your total force or something. Not sure.

Sounds great!

I just had a go at making my own logo (depsite the fact that I'm horrible at making them). Heres a link: http://homepage.mac.com/sgb4622/filechute/LOGO1.mov. What do you guys think of it? I made it entirely using VisionLab.

Really, make it however you want to make it. 4:3 is probably better than widescreen. Thanks.

Zero - Much better. Only requests are these: Still flatter and straighter text. Maybe closer size range. That's about it. Maybe a different, simpler font.

That font costs like $20. And do you want it to spin at all? Or do you want just the numbers leading up to it to be flat?

I'm not gonna make someone do this, but I have a question for all you guys who make these animations. I was thinking about the name "llama films" and I had this awesome concept for a moving logo.

basically, the llamas walk onto the screen with the logo, stop in the middle, make some llama-esk sound, and walk off; from left to right. Is this possible? Is it really hard to do? I'm just wondering, cause I think it would be awesome.

If they were still pictures of lamas, it probably wouldn't be so hard. However, if you wanted the lamas to walk onto the screen, you'd either have to get some footage of them yourself, or do some incredible 3d work that would be insane. But if it was just a still picture of lamas, it should be so hard. This picture idea could be done in Compositelab and a program like Photoshop. If you like, I'll see if I can try and make somthing for you. i'm really busy however so not gaurentees. In fact, NickD, dont even put me on the list. I'll just see if I have time to give it a go.

Somebody was already nice enough (Thanks Davlin!) to make me a very cool film clip in 3D to use in my films, but it occurs to me that I've got a terribly lame banner for my sig file. I'd be happy to donate 25 force for a single image banner of that size to use if any of you photoshop masters have the time and interest.

It would be kind of cool to have something at least in the same theme as the "cat and fish" still from that movie clip (which you can see at my home page linked from said lame banner below) but I'd be open to consider other, new concepts as well.

In other words... add me to the list of requests, please. biggrin Full production company name would be "Send Sardines Please Productions"

Hey, not too shabby, but I was kind of hoping to find a way to have the "Send Sardines" above the "Please Productions" and in kind of the same font, even if you had to replace all the text, if that makes any sense? Also, like I said, I'm not 100% married to that being the design concept if some creative type could think of something better. Up to you!

Sorry Mikmin, I'm having a little trouble with the animated logo. For some reason I can't export the clip out of livetype. I'll just make a still logo. If I can get the other one to export, I'll post that one though.

Its not bad, but its a little two-dimension - in the physical sense, but also the fact that its just so obvious and blunt. In my book, if a logo is going to feature clear visual metaphors, its got to do it thoroughly....

...Like making the studio name out of cleverly shaped bits of submerged ruins, or etching the name in a large submerged area of flagstones etc.

Obviously if you're not technically capable of doing that, then its fair enough, but a logo which has clearly adopted a metaphor needs to do it thoroughly for it to be a 'good' logo at all, otherwise it ends up just as text on a vaguely water-like background; which is as bland as it sounds.

There are plenty of logos which don't show a visual enterpretation of the brand words themselves - you might have more success trying to drop the water bit and going for something simple and elegant. Or try stylising water in a graphic way: like Quicksilver did for their 'wave' logo.

[edit]I knocked this up in a few mins. Its not exactly what i was suggesting, but is still pretty interesting, imho[/edit]

Curtin: Wow, cool sequence! I've got three suggestions. I don't know your level of 3d/design skill, so stop me if you were planning on doing these anyway:

Firstly - the tyres need to be fully textured and rendered for it to be worth doing. Its a case of do it all, or don't do it at all since a semi complete 3D job looks like a semi complete 3D job, not a logo. Since tyres are black and you've got it on a black background, theres a considerable contrast problem. I'd recommend perhaps setting a light source behind the tyre, to "break" over the horizon of the tyre as the camera flies over it.

Secondly - as the camera swoops away, it would be best to get a glimpse of some more of the bike's frame, not just the wheel. At present its impossible to work out what the camera is flying over, so when it pulls away and suddenly theres a bike, its incongruous - theres no link. Perhaps if the tyre were more obviously a tyre, no bike frame would be necessary.

Thirdly - make it more snappy: get rid of the flashes as the text is added, its very "My first flash website intro" and crass. Bring both lines of the logo in at once, with a single flash if you must. Completely ditch the pause and then the yellow glow bit too. If the sequence faded and finished immediately after the logo appeared, it would have been great, but the pause and glow are redundant and waste time.

Its these kind of design refinements which are - in general - the difference between a logo which is tight, effective, refined and incidental to the film ... and a logo which gets in the way, feels overdesigned and lacks subtlety.

Subtlety? What's that? wink

To be honest, I wasn't expecting it to look anywhere near good, as it took me about 4 hours, and I finished at 5am this morning (I was meant to be writing a script). It's definitely an animatic rather than a finished product.
Ideally, I would have used a full model of a BMX with rider, but it took ages to work out how to make the tyre ridges and I couldn't be bothered with anything else in the end. If I ever managed to get a full model done (not that likely given my limited 3D skills), I wouldn't have to use the photograph for the rider and it'd work a whole lot better.
I was trying to keep it dark (as per the design brief), but I agree it was a little too dark. There were also problems with seeing the texture and properties I gave it because of time constraints (I had to be up for 10 this morning).

I know what you mean about the flashes, I had just started to veg out by then. The glow also starts too soon and takes too long - the idea was that it glows and evaporates (like a weapon melted by Zodd in Superman 2).

Its not what I expected but its diffrent... In a good way. I should have pointed out that FreeStyle productions isnt really sport related. I see it more of a Grunge kinda thing. Something batterd n bruised. I do like it though obviously would need doing up more but I aint no animator or anything so you have done way better then I would have done

Hey... that's not bad at all! I have to admit, I really kind of like the simplified, stripped down look and the layout of the letters and the font look great! If you don't mind, I might even find a use for that in the films, like at the end or something. Hrmmm... However, my original request was for more of a banner size thing to use on forum posts, etc. kind of the size of the one I have now. I'm wondering if that same theme could be applied but have it come out more rectangular, like the size of my current one below?

Either way, thanks! Let me dwell on this for a little bit.

Also, I made a second one that you can use as your signature banner. Here it is:

If you don't know how to make it your signature, just check the url, (you can do this by quoting a post, and then clicking back) copy and paste it into your signature box, and put the tags, at the end of the url. Hope you like it.razz

I'm affraid I need to make another request for a production company logo. I will reward 50 Force points to whom can create a logo that I like.

The production company name is: BURGESS PRODUCTIONS

The Idea I had was like one of the fxhome videos that they want us to put on the end of every movie we make to show what special FX software we used. I really like to have one with lightsabers fighting be hind the logo BURGESS PRODUCTIONS. Then a machine gun leaves loads of bullet holes in the letters of BURGESS PRODUCTIONS and a few letters drop off.

If this is to hard to do I understand I also welcome any other ideas.
Cool, your all brilliant cheers.

Hey guys i'm looking for someone to help me with an animated logo.

Ok, lets see if i can describe it.....

It's a wide shot, black and white. Animated, like say...a cartoon. It starts off black, and a simple man walks out from the left hand side. You can see his whole body from a good distance. He has a hard time keeping balance, because instead of a normal head, his head is a big nose. As he nears the center of the screen, he trips and falls face down. The black area undernearth him cracks, and pieces fall down reveiling the prod name : Big Nose Productions

If anyone could help me out in anyway, it would be really appreciated. i'll see what rewards are justafiable.

a great many thanks !!

hello guys,
I'm in need of an animated logo for the studio name live it loud.

I'm willing to give a force of fifty to the person who makes it as I can't afford paying anyone.

and you can make it what you would like it to look like I just need it to be animated. If you add sound to it I will give you a force of 80

Thanks,
Daniel

While I appreciate the fact that you're so open to ideas, you might want to add at least a touch more detail to what you want... like the feel, the tone, the general image you're trying to convey. I mean, if "Live It Loud" is supposed to convey an edgy, gen-x kind of extreme sport thing and somebody makes you one with babies and sheep, you might not be as happy. smile

Hi... I would like a moving logo for my Production Team, I would like the colors to follow the same line as this...

I would like the bird to spin in ward, then after it has stopped the words Dodo Bird to apper over it and STUDIOS under it.
(I can send pictures of the dodo bird if someone needs them.

hello guys,

and you can make it what you would like it to look like I just need it to be animated.
While I appreciate the fact that you're so open to ideas, you might want to add at least a touch more detail to what you want... like the feel, the tone, the general image you're trying to convey. I mean, if "Live It Loud" is supposed to convey an edgy, gen-x kind of extreme sport thing and somebody makes you one with babies and sheep, you might not be as happy. smile
Sorry, well I guess I'm looking for something that goes along with Christianity as my main goal is helping others live it loud. Is this enough or do you need anymore details?

Maybe I could suggest that you have the backround tan and the text white, something like this :

And maybe it could have some cool effect, like it spins in or something.

Take 13 Productions
Indefinite Digital

No specific needs, but animated is preferred.

Edit: Sorry to say, but this happened, so I can't use Pen>Sword Productions any more. Not the name or the logo.

There are some really talented people here!

I am currently working on a new logo for my company:
Shortwave Productions / Shortwave Pictures

I have my fonts selected- Anastasia for the word "Shortwave" and TW Cent MT Condensed for the word Productions or Pictures-
see my website for the text only version and how I have the letters spaced out.

but I need a graphic- I've looked at "radio tower" types of graphics and I like them, but I'm looking for something a bit more interesting- I liked this graphic that I stole from the internet as an idea:
http://www.specsavershearcare.co.uk/cgi-bin/strudwick.sh/s?langid=1&pfmt=1&siteid=41&pname=news.html

I like the perspective angle and the clean/vector based look of it.

I like logos like American Zoetrope: http://www.zoetrope.com/zoe_facilities.cgi

or Beacon pictures: http://www.beaconpictures.com/

Concise Logo/ Icons, I even like Mel Gibson's "Icon Productions" logo.

I put "Shortwave Pictures to the left of the tower in the other graphic and it looks really cool...but I can't use that graphic.

Anoyone want to take a run at it?

I'll send you a free DVD of "Motor Lodge" and a T-shirt in exchange if I use the logo.

Any takers or ideas?

Thanks!
B

Alright, I think its time for a new logo. I can make logos but they are not exactly amazing... I might transfer a few force points if the logo is good. Anyways if anyone could help me out that would be great!

PillowBruise Productions. I think I have made a request here before, but I never got my logo sad

For the logo movie, I would like a Stick figure standing, and a pillow fly from left and hit him in the head, making itget psuhed over to form a P, if you know what i mean?

Then the pillow flies by revealing the words illowBruise after the P.

Idk if that will look ok, and if you have any other ideas thats great too.

If this is just for picture logos, then whatever is fine.

I know what you mean. I'm been trying to get a logo for the past month, yet I did have someone helping, but he hasn't been on here for a long while. I'll give some force, but I don't have much. New Heavenly Films, and it's tagline is Watch for the son.

I think we need an update, a single post (or entirely new thread) summarizing who wants what and what they'll give in return.

I could design several of these logos to people's satisfaction. But the problem is that my time is very valuable to me to complete my own projects. This means that if you can offer something that makes it worth it to me to give my time, then I can justify taking time out to give a hand. Somebody offered money, that's a good one. For example, I personally am looking for someone to render me a couple of animated 3D shots (should be able to be done with freely available models). Another Fxhomer is trying to help me on this, but we're having a hard time getting existing models to work right with his software.
