That definately was very funny and well done!!! Some of the angles could be a little improved, but the story is excellent... You made two kinda believable characters stumble into something strange... Very well done!

Now I know where my Uncle Dwight is! I guess he figures changing his name to Bo will keep the law of his tail!

Nice work. Very funny indeed. Good to see a flick with a story up here!

The best movie I've ever seen on the Alam website. Orginal story, GREAT acting, cool effects, and *Finally* one movie that's not just 2 teenagers trying to look cool! It's good that there are some "Growed-Ups" making movies and posting them here.

Of course, since your movie is just two teenage boys trying to look cool, you are doomed to a poor rating. Maybe you can get your friends to vote you 5's, like most of the hacks on the top ten list. twisted twisted twisted

Talking about me boy? lol ...
I think it's good that 2 grown ups make movies.. then i mean here on alamdv!... and i know, almost all movies *almost* is teeagers trying to look cool. But most movies i have with a "real" script, i can't upload here.
And i make "cool" movies cuz other people like it here eek

Mayby you can send me a good script maxsmoke? without "super coolness" ? that would fit in 5 min without being, well... booring.
This was a bit "booring at the times" but it was good, and had some points!
That is not becouse it's not cool!
But was my trailer worth a 3?. because it was, well... kind of cool.

You need to work on your English, I can't understand a thing you are writing. It might not hurt to sub-title your movies either. If I could actualy understand anything in your last demo, I might have given it a higher score. As it was though, I just found it funny in all of the wroung ways. Little kids over acting, trying to look cool and grown up, it's just very funny. The effects could have been used much better. I liked the editting, but it seems inapproperate. It's certainly not up to the standerds set by the Slap Fighting demo. That was clearly superiour.

But then again, why do you choise to pick your fight here. This thread is about the Hick movie, and I for one really liked it. It was smart, orginal, and funny, in all of the right ways. And the end credits where just BRILLENT! I've never seen anybody do credits like that before, it was inspired. This Hick/UFO movie is the best amature movie I've ever seen. Maybe it could have been a little faster paced, but that's splitting hairs. (Something Solthar loves to do) It's still a great movie and wonderfully exicuted. It'd give it another star, if I could.

I only hope you learn from these guy's example and try something orginal and smart as well. You've done so in the past, please try to do so again in the future.

Max,

You need to work on your manners. This is a 16? year old kid who is typing in another language. I easily got the gist of what he was saying. I am sorry your clips are not getting the recognition that you feel they deseve but that isn't any reason to trash people. You are constantly going at Solthar and now this kid. In another thread you flip out when someone gives you contructive criticism.

We are all trying here. I would love it if in my next clip I could have Jen Lopez and Mel Gibson playing the leads but they haven't returned my calls. So I am going to be in the next clip playing the hero, the hero's buddy the villian and another bad guy. Why? Because I am so busy I can't hook up with a cast but I want to "try" to make the best movie I can with what I have to work with. So your criticism of these kids trying to look cool is bogus. What about you? You are "acting" in your clips, care for a critique?

Give constructive critism. What is so hard about that? I liked your post about script ideas. You seem very talented with both editing and 3d any many people have praised your 3d stuff. How about giving some tips?

All of the people here give tips and advice. They are all very helpful and supportive. Try it.

I am not going to start a "fight with max" thread so I am replying here. I also don't want to fight and I don't think most people here do either. I would rather ask you some questions about 3dmax or another 3d program because you seem to know but I don't want to get trashed by asking.

In closing, don't sweat it. I think my BBG is the best movie on here but after a couple weeks of seeing it low I realize that on this site it isn't the most popular. (Doesn't mean not the best cool ) If you want a clip in the top ten then market your clip to the audience. Everyone does that in one way or another from Children's Theatre to Hollywood. Or make the movie YOU want to make and don't care what rating it gets.

The clip I am now working on ( I almost posted 2 but wasn't too happy with them ) I can't wait to make. I use alot of new tecniques that I have been working on. I haven't once thought about what anyone here or you are going to think about it. I have gone back over the clips in this site and looked at alot of great stuff so I can learn and use it in the movie though. Do I want to get 5 stars from everyone. Sure. Is some numb head going to give me a 0. Maybe. Do I care. Sure I do but I care more about the movie.

I spend months on my stuff, I work on it every free second I have, which isn't much so I know how ticked off a guy can get about his work but please chill out. Alot of people on this site could realy benifit from your help and you could benifit as well.

Sorry all about the length of the post.

I know my English suck! but for gods sake, I'm 15 years old! and live in sweden!... mad when i write i always beg god that the people hu read it will understand. redface

I think you're strange maxsmoke, that's all i have too say neutral
And i never "dare" to criticise (spelled wrong) you, cuz when someone dous that you say that it is "bullshit" and don't care.
Then you never improve.
But i have to agree that you're 3d work is awsome, that's about it.

Well... i don't want write anymore about this... i don't want any enemis on alamdv. I'm sure you will reply and say that i'm stupid, and vote bad for all the movies i will make in the future.

So you're making a new "feture" movie X? can't wait twisted razz

On topic, I loved it too. Very good use of shields at the end. I was going to use something like it in a picture. I got the idea from the "HALO" book about the X-Box game. In it they disable a ships shields for a minute, slip in a nuke and when the shields come up..... boom! I still may use it because I feel imitation is a very good form of flattery. So.. good job.

Oh... Did you really light the oven mit on fire or was it a plugin? It looked like real flames so I wanted to be sure.

Heh, what the hells with all the hostility around here!? evil We should be supporting oneanother (especially the youngbloods) not pissing in their oatmeal! I agree with X and Fallen, Constructive not Destructive until you're lining your pockets with the coin you made on your epic "film".
Be cool. lol

Hey v6proz... Don't feel attacked by maxsmoke. :)

As X said, he just seems to use every chance he gets to attack certain people (especially me). And for you're now in the top10 and he still isn't, you became a new victim... :))

Smile and don't take it too serious...

I think the host I'm using was down for a day or so. I just downloaded the movie (after clearing my cache) and it worked just fine.

X - Yes, the oven mit was really on fire, although at the rate they're going, I'n sure there will be a flaming oven mit plugin available by the end of the week.

v6proz - Sorry about the boring bits. You'll find they're hard to avoid when you get into story developement. I'm curious to know how many of the trailers on this site actually have scripts in place? And don't sweat the language thing. I'm three times your age and my Swedish is non-existant.

CBS-Digital staff - What a great program. I predict great things for your future.

Everybody else - Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad most of you enjoyed it.
