Idea for future update

When I'm rendering somthing in Vlab, i very often hide the program so i can do other things (i'm using os X). However, if i want to check the progress, i need to "unhide" it. this can take several minutes, and somtimes it messed up my render. It would be nice if on the dock icon, there was a little bar showing you the progress. the program Handbrake has somthing like this too.
Just an idea.

It takes several minutes to unhide the app and check the status of a render? That shouldn't be. It shouldn't mess up the render either. Perhaps some more info can help us eliminate the problem there.
Not a bad idea though.

Indeed, a nice idea that.
But, as Axeman says, you shouldn't be experiencing those problems. It might take a short while to return to the program as it'll only update itself between every rendering frame. So unless you're rendering a hugely complex project that takes minutes per frame, you shouldn't be getting that problem!
I've also never known hiding the program to cause actual rendering errors either. On Windows I'm always alt-tabbing between programs. What do you mean by 'mess up' exactly?
