i tried messing around with the Neon glow meteor effect to see if i could make like a speed glow trail but mine sucked! is there anyone willing to make a preset which gives the effect of someone running really fast like Clark in Smallville etc

P.S i have seen the "Ghost Trail" effect tutorial but i think thats only for like visionlab or something and i only have effectslab pro

if anyone can help it would be GREAT!

I'm not sure but I would suggest putting a couple grade effects on the timeline and selecting the angle blur (or if he's running towards the camera use the zoom blur) then mask out the person and hit invert and then have some of the mask falling off behind the person and feather it.

I hope that made sense. It's the best I could come up with without using a greenscreen!

Or, you could simply slow your camera's shutter speed, correct the exposure, and shoot on a tripod, as I did with this clip: http://youtube.com/watch?v=HTO59j0nUaQ&mode=user&search=
It's really easy, and looks quite Smallville-esque.

The images are great - could you go over how you did it again in more detail?

Which grade effects did you use?
What exactly did you mask? I'm not sure about the "mask falling off behind the person" bit!

Would be great to have a full tutorial type post with screen shots for this one!
