I am currently running the demo version of your software and I must say it is quite impressive and easy to use. There is one aspect that I trying to figure out.

If I have a subject that I want to "attach" a particle emitter to and this subject moves around the screen. Is there a "motion tracker" or motion path generator or does this have to be done in a frame by frame manner?

I'm pretty sure that their isn't...
But an easy way to get around this (for some situations) is called "tweening". This means that if in the beginning of your clip you have the particle emitter in the top right corner of the screen, and then go to the last frame (or any other frame in the clip) and put the emitter in the bottom left corner, over the course of the clip the emitter will move from the top right to the bottom left. This feature is also used in many other aspects of the program. Does this help? I hope so, and hopefully you'll choose to buy Visionlab, it's a great program and the help here is always fantastic.

Just to confirm, there is no motion tracker tool in the products, so your best bet is to use keyframes as DavidLittlefield suggests.
