Hi there one and all,
Three enhancements that would make my life easier in VLStudio - can I bagsy them for future builds?
1) Keyboard shortcut - when adjusting a value in the inspector, keyboard shortcuts to increment/decrement the value would be most helpful. At the moment the slider is an imprecise tool, so one has to type several values to find the perfect one. If, when a value is selected, the interface could support either the arrows, + and -, or < and > or somesuch to increment/decrement the value it would speed up my work a lot - I'm a keyboard shortcut junkie form all my AVID work! In fact supporting M<>? for (in order) Big decrement (10x small), small decrement, small increment, big increment (10x small again) would be even faster.
2) Copy a keyframe - being able to highlight one/many keyframes (ie they go orange) and copy their values en masse to paste back in further up the timeline would be great too, as opposed to having to set all the values it represents individually each time.
3) Timeline scaling would make it easier to work faster, I think - the ability to 'see' the timeline at several resolutions would make jumping around it easier (to me at least!)
If these are existing functionality I've missed, my apologies, and I bow my head in shame...if not, please could we have these for the next upgrade? Very much appreciated!

2 is already possible. We'll look in to 1 and 3.

OK, I'll keep looking for how to copy keyframes - ctrl-C and ctrl-V seemed to copy the track only!
Would be most chuffed if 1 and 3 make it into the product, though

Right-click on the selected keyframes and it will give you a copy option.

Gah! There was me trying to right-click on the 'meta-keyframe' and just getting that option...thanks, I now know to drop the dropdown down before right-clicking on one of the attribute-level keyframes!
So - just 1 and 3 to make my world complete

Being able to undo/redo more steps would be extremely helpful.
Also, heres a feature I've been wanting for a while, the ability to scroll using the scroll wheel in my mouse. Right now i have to use teh sliders on the side of the timeline, which is quite annoying

I don't think the timeline one is good. I just think things would end up getting messy if they messed with the timeline, video editing softwares have lots of annoying things with their timelines, the FXhome ones work well and don't get in the which I like.
Plus it would be daunting to zoom out on the timeline and see all work there is to do.

To "zoom" the timeline would be mutch more efficient. Adobe systems, final Cut, Avid.. All those programs has the timeline controles for more efficientsy while working.
So more Undo/Redo and more timelie controls is definitely on my wishlist for update.

Like SGB said... after doing things in my other programs, I just assume I can use the wheel to zoom in and out on the canvas. It could make work much more efficient than have to use the slider everytime.
But, dont get me wrong, these programs are amazing for the price. I'm sure you guys have a lot of work and are maybe focusing on larger things than scroll wheels. I hope this thread doesnt turn into nit-picking.

I seem to recall when the scroll-wheel issue came up in beta testing that the problem lies with some third-party software used in the development. It would be a useful feature, but unfortunately at the current time there is nothing the FXhome crew can do about it but wait. But it is a feature they would like to see as well, and when it is possible, it will no doubt be implemented.

I definately like the idea of more undo-redos.
Maybe you guys could do that, like many programs, there are 2 arrows: one to undo, one to redo.
What do you think?
(By "you" I mean anyone that works at Fxhome
PS- Appart from that, I think the Lab products are 100% perfect!
