Thanks so much for everyone's support.
Especially to the amazing fxhome team, who have been been a really big help on the film, both with delivering great software and excellent feedback, as well as being a tremendous moral and social support during the whole production.
I'm so looking forward to go out and have fun with you guys again!

Well the time has come, the time where a great movie is realeased but i can't go and see it. i asked my mum if i could her response was. "it's too far away".
Still Congrats NCC and congrats Sollthar for making such a susscesful movie, and i also noticed that in the cinema in the visual concept film, you say this.
The Film will be 20 Minutes in length and scheduled for release next year.
this shows how far you have come, i would love to come and meet the Fxhome team and i would love to see the film, but unfortanatly not a lot off us can make it, but i will buy the DVD.

wow, boy would i love to be at this event. although only if the following list of terms are met.
i want a stretch limo to pick me up at home and take me to the airport. the limo has to be on of those stupidly long hummers, no standard car for me thankyou.
once i arrive at the airport i want a lenth of red carpet leading from the car to the private jet which will be fully fueled and ready to go.
once seated i would like the stewardess (wearing skimpy clothing) to bring me a drinks menu and a list of inflight entertainment which must include Weekend at bernies 2.
my tux will be freshly pressed and hanging ready for me to wear onboard in the private bathroom which will have an extensive array of aftershaves, balms, and face packs.
once i arrive ant the other end i would again like an exclusive car waiting for me, the seats must be coated in petals from the rarest flowers.
once inside the cinema i would like the best seating and a constant supply of hotdogs and popcorn.
all this will enable me to fully enjoy the THE FILM of all films.
hope this request is heard by the right people.
i look forward to recieving my tickets.
p.s seriously well done guy i really do wish i could come.

Question, without the fx home team, would you have been able to finish it.
I only ask that as a few posts back you say that a lot of help came from fxhome.
Long live fxhome, without them none of us would be here, even me.
Posted: Wed, 28th Feb 2007, 5:56pm
Post 25 of 84
I don't know really. Probably I'd still have finished it, but I don't know.
The fxhome teams moral support was just a lot larger and a lot more important to me then they probably know. And I'm sure it would have been an even more difficult way without that help.

Good truthfull answer.
I think a lot of us owe fxhome a lot in many different ways.
All the best with your film, great to see it all done, bet your already working on the next one.

Yes, true words. *raises a glass to fxhome*
I haven't really started working on my new film. I'm still neck deep in work: Getting the DVD ready, working on the bonus materials, negotiating with distributors, cinemas, TV stations and last but not least preparing all for the big premiere etc.
Then I'm up for a holiday.

ive got 2 question for u sollthar is there any change of an english dub on the nightcast dvd if the is going to be one and are you going to put some more behind the scene videos on the nightcast website i would like to see some more steps that nccinema took to make the film.
Posted: Wed, 28th Feb 2007, 7:20pm
Post 29 of 84
1) Yes, we're planning on doing an english dubb of the film. Though not for the "2 Disc Premiere Edition Set" that wil be released on 2nd of April. That one will just be subtitled - great english subtitles provided by master Simon "Tarn" Jones himself.
The dubbed version will take a lot longer then that.
2) There won't be new videos on the page anytime soon, but the DVD has an over 4 hour Making-Of containing exclusive new material and documentary about EVERY aspect of NightCast: Every shooting day is documented, the preproduction is documented and the postproduction will feature great never before seen insights into the effects, the sound and the editing of the film.

cool did with the english dub will there be any behind the scenes at all on there?
Posted: Thu, 1st Mar 2007, 4:03pm
Post 31 of 84
Yeah, in fact, it will be an absolutely in depth insight into all aspects of the production. The DVD will have an over 4 hours Making Of focusing on all important aspects of the production from A to Z:
- Planning / Location scouting / Casting / MakeUp effects / Costume Design / Set Building
- Diaries of each of the 25 shooting days with interviews with everyone on set talking about problems, solutions, funny stories and technical issues
- Pickups / Editing / Sounddesign / ADR / Visual Effects / Music / Grading

No. No dates. Focus right now is getting the film ready for the premiere and the first DVD Edition ready for our shop. Then we see what's next.
I use Cinema4D. You find all this information in the threads about the trailers and concept teasers.

Stupid flight companies...
An unnamed British Flight Company charges 171€ to go from Luxembourg to Zurich but 419€ to get back!
Argh... I forgot... I'm going on exchange (again) with my school so I'll be in Germany at that time
But don't worry, I'll buy the DVD

I'm afraid, definately not.
It's a commercial movie that will only be available on DVD. But there won't be a freely downloadable version in the fxhome cinema.
(Maybe in 5 years or so, who knows)

Larik - great to hear you're coming along too! I'm sure Sollthar will pass on the plan to you - the team will be wearing their FXhome t-shirts, so if you get lost in Zurich, you know what to look for.
The guest list continues to grow! I believe Adam 'Flameboy' Kirley is joining us as well - veteran FXhomers will remember him from a spotlight article we did waaaay back in the mists of time:http://fxhome.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=15151
More recently you probably all saw him flipping an Aston Martin in Casino Royale.

So I finally got my copy via China's mail route.... I know I'm chiming in late, and most things have been said...
I LOVED the movie. I think after hearing all the production stories, and countless conversations in the chatroom, I felt honored to see this work come to fruition.
The quality was superb, and the effects were done VERY well. The music score also complimented the visuals. People need to see this to watch the dedictation of people with little or no budget, and how you need to get creative because of it.
The behind-the-scenes was a GREAT addition, and showing how to merge the 3D models, doing color grades, green screening, cloning, ADR and foley. Just in that alone, it's worth the price.
Fantastic Job guys!
