Would CompositeLab be useful in a fast-pace still photography set-up?
Pictures need to be printed within a few minutes.

It depends on what you intend to do with the pictures before they are printed. If you just want to tweak the color settings or do a bit of grading, there are many other apps that would work better. If you are doing composites, it would be more useful.
