our first film is starting pre-prodution with the plot all set out and the script is underway. the project is untitled at this time but we have an idea for a possible name we are going to stick with the name unless we think of a better one. the name of it is called "the case" not a very exiting name i know but we cant think of any that fit the plot...speaking of the plot here it is.

when a boy finds a case lying aroun he checks it to see who it belongs to so he can return it when he looks in side he finds files on a man. the boy realises the man is in danger so he gose to warn him. the man the case was put there for see that someone has looked in side and gose in search of the kid. theres a kind of plot twist to it so i wont tell the rest.

not sure how good an idea that is but thats what were gonna do.

it's a great premise for a simple first project - just keep the finished article under 10 mins and shoot in 1-2 days so you will have sampled all the stages of filmmaking before you even start on the next project - It'll teach you so much and give you so many ideas for next time, it'll all seem so much less daunting!

Have fun, keep on like this, learning as you go and by the time you're 18 you'll have such a big showreel and have picked up so many skills and contacts, you'll be shooting big complex projects without hesitation

cool thanks, its great to think about having a showreel and making big projects. luckily this film will teach us alot about filming. then maby after a few others we might even give animation a try.

sounds like a cool idea, i would recommend filming it in 2-3 days, we tried spacing out our filming but we ended up losing motivation for it all. don't forget to post it on here

Well, a little advice, I have two script writers on my team, myself and the other person. The other person is the main story/dialoge writer, I am the one who put the camera angles in as the script goes along, while also adding to it.

That's what we like to hear! Lol i have about 4 movies i've been seriously thinking about making, my most important one is the one i'm working on now biggrin

P.S: Advertise in your local town centre for actors or extra's. I don't hace a casting agent, i'm literally doing it all by myself at the moment but you should be able to attract a large amount of people by advertising for auditions in a movie biggrin

Just about ALL editing software has the ability to make titles and apply effects to them, move them, animate them, etc...

I never understand this question- titles are just text- what do you want to do with that? Do you want 3D animation, etc...??

That's a whole different thing- but most "titles" are nothing but text with various treatments- I can emulate many styles of popular movie "titles" with just Vegas and maybe photoshop.

If you are talking about 3d titles, try BluffTitler, it's pretty powerful

And please, use your edit button instead of double posting all of the time

i was at school today and found out that another group of people from school are making a film too. and they needed special effects done. so because people know that i do it. they came to me and asked if i could do it. i said i would. then they even said they would pay me. it so cool i'll be getting £3 an hour and its gonna be really cool becase. i'll learn more and i'll be helping them out. ofcoars i wont be stopping my projects i'll be doing them too. but someone else also siad they might need my help so im doing special effects all round it's so cool.

what im planing to do is make money from these thing and save up to learn more special effects. and save up to have a budget for our films.

soon i'll have the proper products but for the moment i only have the demos but ive arlerdy learnt some of the effects the need and ive been experimenting with colour grading.
