Well, I can confirm that it should be listed under Particle Effects. You might have a look in the folder it is supposed to install to (User/Documents/FXhome/VisionLab Studio/preset on the Mac, not sure of the exact location on windows) and see if the file has actully installed. If so, try removing it, then start the program and install it again. Maybe download it again for good measure.

Or, you could do a clean re-install. It will not affect the project file you are working on. After the reinstall you can open the project and continue from where you left off.

What you could also do is download another version of the bullettrail.

http://fxhome.com/presets/info_cache/preset585.html

http://fxhome.com/presets/info_cache/preset377.html

http://fxhome.com/presets/info_cache/preset215.html

If you aren't happy with these results, you can add a muzzle flash, instead of the bullettrail.

But if you really want the bullettrail, do the following:
1- Click on the "Particle" icon.
2- Click in the rectangle beside the "search" button.
3- Write "bullettrail".
4- Click on "search".
Then you may have your bullettrail. However, if you still don't have it, try writing it differently, like "bullet trail", for example.
