Practical Digital Video #19 hits the shelves today and it’s a rather special issue for FXhomers. Not only is there a spiffy 4-page CompositeLab tutorial written by none other than Tarn, there’s also a giant feature and exclusive interview with Ashley ‘the best around’ Wing, director of the #1 FXhome movie sensation Between the Lines.

Brimming over

The entire magazine is jam-packed with great features:

  • On the Set with Between the Lines
  • 4-page CompositeLab tutorial
  • 7-page Short filmmaker’s survival guide
  • How to finance your movies
  • Shooting with a jib
  • Understanding acoustics
  • Latest prosumer cameras reviewed

Issue 19 is out now! Buy it before it’s too late!

In the UK, any decent newsagents such as WH Smiths should have it. If the don't, simply ask and they should be able to get one in for you.

Unfortunatly, I live in the States and won't be able to purchase it, but it's nice to see some more press coverage. It looked as though there hadn't been any new articles in a while for fxhome products. Nice to see we're back in the news!

We've actually been in quite a few more magazines and have received more excellent reviews, we just didn't do news posts on them all as we didn't want to bore people. smile

Why would we be bored with hearing good stuff about the program(s) that we use? I say, post them smile

To sum up some of the other great coverage we've got that we didn't highlight:

Computer Shopper (#231)
EffectsLab Pro - 5/5

MacWorld (May 2007)
EffectsLab Pro - 4/5

Computer Buyer (#192)
EffectsLab Pro - 4/5 Recommended Award

Windows XP Made Easy (#111)
VisionLab Studio - 8/10

Mac User (vol23 no5)
VisionLab Studio - 4/5

iCreate (#40)
Funky 4-page particle engine tutorial
Plus a great look at EffectsLab presets, highlighting ones by Axeman and Luke Allen.

There's still more to come, so keep scanning the shelves, guys! smile

I have this theory that it is impossible for any FXHome product to get a negative review in a magazine/website.
