This year we want to try making a short film with some carefully chosen FXhomers.

On the team:
The FXhome team +
Arktic (Geraint Abbott)
Hybrid-Halo (Matt Plummer)
Waser (Andreas Petersen)
Axeman (Axel Wilkinson)
Sollthar (Marco von Moos)
er-no (Joby Stephens)
Ashman (Ashley Wing)
Xcession (Dave Cranwell)
Andreas (Andreas Jendin)
Aqui (Elly Ward)
Redhawksrymmer (Nils Croné)
Leeloo (Lucy Burton)
TBC (Michelle Bauert)

Confirmed for the shoot:
The FXhome team +
Sollthar
Ashman
Aqui

Location:
The shoot will be focused in and around Norwich, as that's where we are.

Date:
TBC, depending on when everyone is available (see other sticky post). Aiming for October/November for the actual shoot.

We expect the shoot will be about 4-5 days (a long weekend basically). Set will obviously be constructed in advance.

What's it all about then?
That's what this forum is for - discussing what we're going to do! More info and organisational gubbins will pop up soon...

Why?
Four reasons:

1. Have fun!
2. Make a great short film and submit it to festivals!
3. Give everyone something fantastic for their CV/showreel/etc.
4. Give FXhome some more great footage to use in promos etc. and work towards producing even bigger and better things in the future.

What running time are we aiming for? It's a shot so im guessing no longer than 10 minutes?

I'm very excited and happy to be apart of this awesome project, lets kick some ass! Do I get to stroke the hvx200 smile

Cool, I'll be the only yank!

As long as I have about 5-6 months in advance to plan around, I should be able to get a ticket out to your side of the world.

Great stuff Waser! Hopefully we can get at least a rough schedule down ASAP, once everyone has said when they're available.

As for running time, that's something I'm going to need input from you guys on, specifically those of you that have looked into festivals etc already for your own work. I'm thinking 5-10 minutes so that we can maximise quality and not drive ourselves nuts trying to shoot anything longer in such a short time period. At the same time, we need to know the requirements for various festivals in advance, so that we have maximum possibility for exposure etc. I know er-no's looked into festivals quite a bit - any advice?

In the meantime, I'll get you a pot, er-no.
