What will happen to our planet?!!!
Good story, but like said before, the use of 3d models rendered in 2d is not as effective as the 3d model itself...

I agree with Lord Dugall. Using 3d model as a 2d pic isn't the same. Good use of sound though. Nice sfx. Try doing it in an actuall 3d environment where you could change the angle of the camera better and view the ships from different angles. Nice try and good story line.

I forgot to talk about the sound fx, and in deed, it's good. After seeing my vote and thinking about the time that your production involved, i should rather give you a 4, but i think it's too late...
sorry about that.

I must say this as a warning, for this film your volume must be at a desent level other wise it will seem rubbish...

i think that it is really good, and shows that al the 3d rendered plug-ins can make a really good film, by them selves or in conjunction with other things...
a very good film, and good use of sound etc...

I think it was quite good. This is a great example of how far you can stretch the use of the 3D plugins on this application (for better or worse, I guess that's just opinion). I think you did a really good job. Good angles, music, effect use. Nice work.

Hmm.... I really like how you used the music and the SoundFX....
But I'm sorry... I still keep to my opionion, that 2D Pictures don't look good... They look kind of cheap... But it's not your fault, you used them good... But I... well... I don't like 2D Pictures of 3D Objects... Reminds me of old Amiga Times...
You did a good job nevertheless

I think that it defornatly deserved 4 stars because it just shows what can really be done by just one program, plus the music and sound went well too, I loved it

I liked it. I am going to do a space scene too and it got me thinking of different lighting angles. Next time you might want to add stars. (If they were in there I couldn't see them.)

I tried many, many different things, including stars but they didn't go with the fast moving look which i was after at all...

You did a great job.
I do agree with Solthar. 2D for 3D is a bad swap in general- but your film suggests that it can be done as long as you keep stuff moving quickly. Nice job. Look forward to your "sequel".

I think you've done a great job, and despite the criticisms about 3D plugins ... I think it just goes to show what is possible. Let's face it, we're producing all this AlamDV stuff (plugins and movies) on little or no budget. So well done.

Oh yeah. Definetly. Hope you didn't take what I said as an affront Kermz.
Your plugins are ridiculously good. It's just hard to get that "Studio" look with 2D.
As you said though, this is all about being "free". Without guys like you, we'd all be making "Lasersword" and "Muzzle Flash" movies!

Yeh KermZ, thanx a lot 4 all the plugins, that why i noted u in the credits t the end, and thanx 4 all the feedback. My Exams start in a week so if i finish it before then, then i will post it, if not, it might be a couple weeks before u see the seequal.

What the heck!? Why are people giving this movie five stars! WHYYYYY!!!!??? This is not a 5 star movie. Neither 4. Nor 3. Actually it's 2-3.
I'm angry, and you already know that.

Well then, maybe there should be guidelines (or a set of criteria) posted beside the rating system? If this doesn't happen, then the rating is completely subjective (as it is right now).

well mechaforce, everyone has different opinions, u don't like it then give it what u will, where as i on the other hand like it a lot, i think it is 4-5 star material, it is the best job he could of done with the resources he had available...
we don't have to rate the films based on whether YOU like them, it is to do with personal opinion, there isn't a rating scheme next to the stars saying "5 stars - mechaforce loves" and "2 stars - mechaforce thinks is ok", we rate them how WE want to, and not how u want us to...
i don't mean to offend u mechaforce, but u should stop being so ABUSIVE on the forums, if u don't have anything constuctive to say, the don't say anything at all...
and the same goes to u being ANTI-3d rendered plugins, if u don't like them, then don't download them, a lot of users like the 3d renders, and as samsung has shown us, they can be used very effectively...
i think i have said enough, for now

what is the problem with you Mechaforce!!! If you know better ways of voting than express yourself,...correctly!
Like Neo said, voting is very subjective so give a one or a two if you like but you have nothing to say about other people's vote. (except if they are cheting the voting system for their movie to have a better rating!)
Am I clear?

Good point TMM, people (including myself) should be more tolerant for the 2d plugin user as there is A LOT of work in the movie making and hey were not here to cole Lucasart! Are we?

Without wanting to be off topic, those thing needed to be said and I hope that he (Mechaforce) will change his attitude. There is not only "metal gear redux" on this website!
That's all for me too.

getting back onto topic, i still feel that this movie is VERY good, although not perfect (but what movie is)...
as u r doing the next one, maybe there could be a fight nearer the earth, and u could include the at at walkers
, maybe have some of the PLANES flying around shooting things, a bit like independance day

will there be real actor in the sequel? At At is more SW universe...I thought seing the movie that our blue planet was invaded by ET's... but the planes sound's great!

well all the ships he has used aren't from the same films/tv series, they r from various ones, so i thought AT ATs would spice it up a little...
i don't think u should reveal any spoilers for the sequel, although i do think it should be a trilogy, and the second one should just be a MASSIVE battle, maybe earth could get some reinforcements from another neighbouring system
also, maybe if u talked to KERMZ nicely, he could make a few more 3d rendered spaceship plug-ins that would be cool for you to add in the sequel/sequels...

I hav been talking 2 KermZ about the plugins through email. I think it is a good idea 2 det my dad working on the lanscape stuff and i think i will hav a battle on earth and in the third film, there will be the blue planet plugin included
The reason i hav not used any star wars ships is because i want it 2 be more than a star wars space movie, and thanx 4 more feedback
By the way Mechaforce, how old are u coz im sure at your age u can brag about all that fancy stuff u do, but i am only 13 and new at this
Thanx 2 everyone else

Jesus Christ. I thought you were around 18 or so! Doesn't change my perspective as I gave it 4 stars anyway! Very good work Samsung. Guys like you are going to keep us "Geezers" on our toes!
Don't be too hard on Mecha. Like the rest of us, he's just expressing his opinion. If he wants to assume a hard line that's ok. He hasn't re-posted on this one and I know he's a very reasonable/nice guy. I also think that 3D in a 2D app. isn't a great idea, but Samsung has shown us that you can pull it off. Congratulations to him.
I do wonder if the rating system might benefit from some form of guidelines as I mentioned on the last page though. There are a lot of posts on the issue of "story" vs. "test"- and this is usually were people start to take things personally and get pissed off around here. I gave Samsung 4 stars because I thought he had it all in this one. Story, effects, good "shots" and music/sound.
Anyway, just my opinion. Peace boyz.
