It's not possible to do an actual Sin City filter "i.e. only reds and yellows show up" that's only possible in composite lab. I believe there is a decent filter in the downloads section. search for it.

I think he means:

A. All the actors have a 'constant' backlight, to "seperate" them from the background.

or.

B. Brick walls look like white squares with black lines, except when they are in shadow they look like black squares with white lines.

or

C. Something else.

this is a slide show the ones I am especially looking at is on 0:37, 0:40, 1:12, and 1:16. By the way the music at the end is annoying so I advise to turn the speakers down, THANKS

Erm.. light can't be done in post. If you want to light like that, you'll have to invest quite some money and time into a decent lighting equipment and you need to know what you're doing.
I suggest reading this: http://fxhome.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=27135

On a second note: You need to register your product with the website to download a preset. There's already a SIN CITY preset available. But as I said, your original footage needs to be well clean and perfect for it to work.

I think I know what you are after Joecool1081, and I can help.

If you mean how do you get your actors all white? Like in that rooftop shot? This is my method....

Shoot an actor on a greenscreen. Good luck finding one as sexy as this.

Then key out the green as per usual. Then click on grade and pick the brightness filter. Slide it all the way to the right and it makes your actor white

Slide it all the way to the left and it makes your actor black

If you want your actors to be a colour, slide the brightness slider all the way to the right to make them white, click on the ambient light filter and slide strength to full. I picked green in this one

Thats it. Is that what you meant?

Andy

p.s. I've been thinkin' about my baby it don't matter if you're black or white.
