ive decided that befor i do a bigger project that im going to do several smaller films to gain experirence maby get a show reel under by belt iv'e wrote the script for a small ten-twenty miniut short film based on a music video if watched. ive got 1 actor already and need like 5 actors with speaking parts and two across who dont. im gonna be serching them out. im getting VLab soon so i can do some effects and now im off to write another script for another short film.

not to be pushy but thats were the logo creater thread comes in i need that logo fairly quickly sorry if that sounds rude but i need the logo for the film. or if anyone could give me tips on how to make my own logo that would be awsome too. im getting VLab and Photoshop. i dunno if that makes it any easyer for tip gives.

Respectfully, why are you in such a rush for a logo? I'd be more concerned with finding the actors, myself.

Do you have a name for your production company? All you have to do is have a sign that reads, "My Production Company Presents", and then have your film after that.

Because your films will be wonderful, the lack of a flashy, animated logo will be overlooked..!!!

Logo's are over rated, I didn't bother putting a logo or 'Chris Boyer Productions' in The Haiku Menace at all, I just felt it was pointless, just something that gets in the way of watching the movie, and nobody has told me that they felt the film seemed up professionals becouse it was missing a slick logo.

I don't believe it's any more (or any less) safe or legal than just putting Copyright 2007 "Your Name" ... say, at the end of your film.

But hey, some people like the logo..! Who am I to interfere?

If you really are interested in protecting your work, I do believe there are specific threads on this topic - - also a link or two in the stickies.

If you're writing scripts, then the first thing I suggest working on is your abysmal Grammar. You won't get anywhere unless you fix that first.

You're a kid. You can't have a company. You can only act as if you had one.

So stop worrying about that imaginary company of yours and start worrying about your movie.

It's not as rude as it is true. Although he could have said it alittle more polite.

Well, what I meant was:

There's really no point in worrying so much about a "company" that isn't really a company anyways. It's just in your head, hence is of utterly no importance and doesn't make any difference whatsoever to the film. Hence that time would be much more well spent thinking about actual filmmaking issues.

I apologize for not using any smileys. smile

Not quite sure what you're referring to. But if you're referring to what I said:

It's a tip. Worrying about things that have no impact on your film is a waste of time. And with something as complicated as film, you shouldn't waste your time but concentrate it on important things.

No. What he's doing is saying the truth and the truth that i can see is that FXmanic's 13 years old and he should focus on his film-making to become even more talented. This way if he put's too much focus on a companythen he may just forget about movies for a bit. Not saying that might happen but it could. Anyway can we get back on topic seeing as this is becoming an annoying piece of drivel.

Once the person who is making the 'company' has the talent that company shows, then it is alright to go ahead and create it.

If you have an idea for a company name and intro movie, keep it in your head till you have "played" around making shorts and "learning" movies. Then, when the time comes and you are going to bring out a masterpiece - that's the time to invest a little time on your company infrastructure and IP.
