Everyone's favourite wall-crawler is swinging back into cinemas this summer and to celebrate we've got a few copies of the new Spider-Man 2.1 DVD to giveaway!

Featuring an extended cut of Spider-Man 2, you can now see extra sequences of Doc Ock beating Peter Parker to a pulp and check out new behind-the-scenes info. Check out the trailer below to whet your appetite...

Click here to watch the Spider-Man 2.1 trailer!

How to win

The DVD is out on 23 April but if you want to try winning a copy, all you have to do is use your Spidey-sense to answer the following question:

According to the original comic book,
what was the name of Otto Octavius'
supervillain team?

Email your answer to COMPETITION NOW CLOSED to be in with a chance. You might just hit the jackpot, tiger!

Rules and regs: It wouldn't be a proper competition without some rules! So here we go: 1. These DVDs are region 2, so make sure your DVD player can handle it. 2. Don't forget to include your home mail address, as DVDs can't be sent by email. 3. Don't trust Harry Osborn. 4. All entries must be received by 30 April 2007.

I know the answer but I'm not sure I'd be allowed to give out my home address.

How do I find out if my DVD player can play region 2?

Well, we can't really send you a DVD if you win if you don't tell us your address. smile

The info is all confidential and won't be given out to any third parties, so you don't need to worry about that.

How doI find out if my DVD player can play region 2?
Check the manual. smile

It's also worth checking Google, as most DVD players are capable of it, you just have to key in a multiregion code.

If most DVD players are capable of it than between my two players and computer I should be able to find some way to play it. smile
So are random people picked to win or is it the first who send E-mails in? Or is that confedential? wink

I'm with you, I love the Spider-Man movies and it would be awesome to have the extended edition.

I know the answer, but won't participate though, since I've already got the DVD (and I don't think I really need the 2.1 version too). Still, it's great that these contests keep coming up, I'm sure it'll bring a lot more people into the community aspect and some new people might join the website to enter!

Great job! *Applauds*

*Redhawksrymmer stops trusting Harry Osbourn. wink

Lol, I saw this on the shelf at a local Walmart just the other day. Apparently they do their stocking a little early surprised

Unless, the DVD is to be released on the 23rd in the UK, and has already been so in the US.

Yup, UK. Maybe the DVD release is timed to match up with the release dates of Spidey 3?

We're notifying the winners by email when they've won. From now on I'll be sure to mention when the winners have been notified, so that you'll know whether you've won or not. That way we don't publish any details of those entering - of course, if the winners want to post on the forums tha'ts fine. smile

For the Spidey competition, the winners have now been notified. If you haven't had an email from me, then I'm afraid you've not won this time round! Congratulations to those that won!

p.s. For those wondering earlier in the thread, you'll be reassured to hear that a couple of the winners were from the US this time round.

The Sinister Six... After people have entered, and for those who got it right, the pretty much pull names out of hats.

I won, but I haven't heard or gotten anything since I was notified. Still, I'm sure it'll come soon, since it's international.

Unfortunately the DVD's distributor hasn't supplied the prizes yet, which is rather annoying. Hopefully they'll get it sorted out soon. Sorry about the wait!

Just got home from New York today and found a nice shiny new envelope in my living room. Hehe, there's even a hand-written "sorry for the delay" written on the note inside.

Thanks, guys! Awesome DVD.
