I've got an idea for the fxhome team when they make their next version of Clab. How about having an option on key filters that will place a freehand matte over the area that would normally be keyed. This would allow the user to fine-tune their key by just dragging a few points.

Isn't this what the garbage mattes do currently? I'm not sure I understood your post fully - could you elaborate a bit?

I mean you could use the keying filters to key your shot, then move the boundaries of the key as if it were a matte. Sort of a combination between a key filter and a matte.

I think I understand what you mean. It's as if after you key a subject it turns into a garbage matte? If this is what you mean, how would it be useful?

Yeah, that's what I mean. Basically, it would be useful because it would enable you to fine-tune your key easily without using a bunch of seperate filters and mattes.
