How about a pane of glass than can change size to fit a window edge and it smashs into bits, from say a bullet or body falling out of it. We have a bullet hitting glass, but no big piece of glass.

i don't think that this will look very good, because the broken glass will richochet and bounce of different objects, that r around...

if the plug-in was made the glass would just look too 2d, and wouldn't be very good...

This was actually suggested before, about 6 or 8 months ago, probably. I'm not sure if the thread is still around, try searching for it. Another proble with this, though, which was brought up before, is that after you 'shatter' the glass with the plug-in, the real window pane is still going to be there.

yeah, but u could do it somewhere with empty window frames...

like maybe an abandoned warehouse or summit like that, where u don't have to worry about it...

yep, one of these plug-ins was created. I don't think it was submitted to the plug-ins section, though.

It should be exactly what you are looking for. Do a search like axeman said...

thanks. I do actually have a window frame with no window, so it was kind of the idea. I'll have a look.

When you say search, do you mean search for the topic, or search for the plugin. (Sorry, just me being dumb).

Hi there,

I'm fairly new to AlamDV2. I tried downloading your smashing glass plugin and it is black. I noticed the little transparency bar in the 'attributes' window but I can't seem to move it. What do I do? confused

Thanks.

With some plugins, u cant make them transparent. Try inserting the plugin and then move forward some frames and i think u should then be able to see it.

The problem isn't that I can't see the effect - I can, it's there. It just looks black, and nothing like a window. If I could make it transparent it would look more realistic. Or is it meant to look black?

the transparency should work, im not sure why it doesnt, but when i did the plugin i rendered it black, because if you render something transparent you wouldnt be able to see it cos its erm.. transparent smile
