Clever use of the visualFX, as well as some of the sound effects. Some nice camera shots, too.

MY PLUG-INS, WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

and was that the back to the future music in the background??? confused

i think that this was a very good short, considering it is the only fantasy style movie, well apart from those wierd spell master ones...

i think it is also very good because it is ur FIRST movie...

overall, i give it 3.5 (rounded upto a 4) and not just because it has my lame plug-ins in smile

Yeah, a nice full of effects flick. I like the "legend of Zelda" inspired bits smile

I think Ebag is probably slightly biased tho seeing as he is using the same computer as Mysterio....something you want to share with the group? twisted

it works on averages, so if u have had very few low marks, then u will have a higher average, it is easy to get 1st with one vote of 5 stars i would of thought...

calm down TMM, my Vimy Ridge SE aint finished yet, wait for it, than we will see. hehhe. im a power hungry SOB...but hey, at least i'm honest. hehehe

anyway, as for this film, good use of effects, but i didn't feel it calling out to me in any other way. its about a 3-3-5 rating, thus me giving it 3.

but mysterio, remember, 3 is still quite good.

and i'll be waiting for your next film!

and the voting is kinda on and off, there are nearly 3000 users, and only a mere handful have even d/led ur video at the moment, bare in mind "the test" has been up a fair while now...

most of the time, when you watch something (or at least me) there are moments that stick with you from it. keep in mind i say moments, so it can be really short.

nothing memorable happened here, but don't beat yourself up over it, most of the tests, or even films on here are the same.

but the test left a good impression on me, same with desert of doom and alamdv2 trailer

i thought the bit where he stabbed the sword into the ground, and there was the HUGE explosion was cool, it showed how u can out a few effects together to make a good effect...

i also liked the way u use the arrows, where he kinda uses magic to throw the arrow back, and it stabs straight into that person...

The Music was really cool (You can't do much wrong with Silvestris Soundtracks) :)
So were the effects...
But the camera was very far away and the editing should be a little more careful (mostly, the last frame of the 1st shot doesn't match up with the first frame of the 2nd shot - and thats the most important thing in editing)...

But it was very entertaining an fun to watch.

That's a good idea, but if one person likes it and no one else does, that one person might be left out. You might want to send them in after making the movie, no matter what.

I just watched the movie, and it is cool! I gave it five stars. However, I'm wondering. Is the actor who played the hero just a little weird? And also, how did you do effects on the movie if you don't own AlamDV?

Your OS is a bit ancient by modern standards, but there is nothing wrong with DELL's computers. You're just stuck buying all your parts from them directly.

Of course, with the speed that new computers are coming out at, it is almost impossible to keep up to date. And buying parts from Dell is okay, just as long as you never have to buy new parts. confused

or make a sequel, rather than redoing it, just make a sequel, which continues on from wheer the first left off, as in just after u kill that bloke, another one appears or summit, but this one is really hard...

Yeah, and you could give the sequel sort of a storyline, like the guy comes back from the dead, and you have to hunt him down or something.

ah yes, the music, u should try what they did in that stop motion one, horsey hijack was it called, where they used an assortment of msuic throughout, liek a film would, rather than having the same track playign throughout, maybe u could give that a shot...
