I know Chromanator is dead but I need my copy to work.

I'm trying to run chromanator on my macbook pro. I havn't prolly ran the program in 6 months. Whenever I open it I get an error message that says there is something wrong with my version of chromanator and to download the most recent version from FXhome.com or something like that.
I did exactly that. Whent to my account and dowloaded chromanator again. It asked for my key file, I gave it to it, but then I got the same message.

Just as I wrote this I'm thinking maybe there are some pref files or something in the application support files I should dump. I'll go do that and see if that works.

That's usually the case, yeah. The older software creates an fxhome directory in your "My Documents" folder which needs to be deleted as well as doing the uninstall through control panel for the uninstall to really be complete.

Give that a try, and if the problem continues throw a post on here and we'll look at other solutions.

Thanks Hybrid, fast response. I had been digging around in the library files and caches. Looks like all I had to do was trash the chromanator file in my documents folder. I didn't even bother uninstalling and reinstalling again.

Works good now.

For reference I'm in OSX so that control panel stuff through me for a second. Luckily "My Documents" and "Documents" sound oddly alike so I managed to figure it out.
