I know that Alam DV 2 is outdated and no longer supported

But I just installed Effect Lab and tried it out. Still cant get the hang of it.

I did notice that after installing Effects Lab my alam DV 2 could no longer start up.

I came to this site to re download the Alam DV 2 program and suceesfully re installed it. Only problem is my activation keys no longer work so that means i can only use in demo mode.

Can some one from FX Home please help me re register my Alam DV 2 as I really would like to continue using this program.

Thank you Luna

Installing EffectsLab wouldn't change anything with regard to AlamDV2. Just make sure you're entering the serial correctly.

I'm afraid we don't provide AlamDV2 support anymore (we haven't for several years). However, if the code used to work then it still will. The only reason it wouldn't work, as far as I know, is if it's being entered incorrectly.

Try copy and pasting it rather than typing it out, and make sure you don't accidentally copy additional spaces at the end by accident.

I tried copy and pasting my serial and user name again but nothing changed? In fact I tried a combination of typing and copy and pasting with no luck.

I really would like to continue using alam DV 2 for the ease of use.

Is there anyway some one there at FX Home could help me re register it?

Thank you Luna

I really think you should just learn how to use EffectsLab, it's not very hard once you get the hang of it and there's several video tutorials that pretty much teach you everything you need to know, you can also ask for help when learning how to use it on the forums. If you learned how to use it you could acveive far greater resuilts then you could with ALAMDV 2.

Indeed, EffectsLab isn't really harder to use, its just different from AlamDV. As both you and Tarn mentioned, AlamDV is no longer supported, meaning neither Tarn or any of the others at the FXhome crew can help you re-register. But if you use the video tutorials to take advantage of the new software which you have already paid for, I'm sure you will find that one you get the hang of it, the preset system in EffectsLab is not only easier than the old AlamDV system, but is much more stable and reliable, more versatile, and much more powerful. And when you do run into a difficulty or something you don't fully understand, there are lots of us here on the forums that can answer any questions you have (though I recommend checking the manual and other provided resources first).
