Hi Guys,

We have added 2 totally new installers to the AlamDV downloads section and the Mac minimal installer has also been updated. The new installers are the Standard and Developer versions of AlamDV2.1.

Unlike the Minimal Installer, the Standard version comes with a selection of plugins and the NEW AlamDV2 Manual in the PDF format. The Developer Installer is the same as the Standard version but also includes the Plugger and the updated Skin Template (also available here).

All versions of the Mac installer have been updated since AlamDV2.1 first went up - they now include a revised version of the PluginLoader which should be more stable under MacOS9. If MacOS9 is still your default OS and you don't like launching MacOSX (still the most stable way to install plugins) then this new release could help.

I hope you enjoy the new versions.

Thanks guys - me and Malone have been working hard.

Here is the breakdown of what the different installers are:

Minimal - Just the bare bones of the AlamDV2 application - you'll need to download some plugins to even use this one.

Standard - The AlamDV2 application and a selection of about 16 effect plugins to get you started. The new AlamDV2 PDF manual with tutorials is also included.

Developer - All the same bits as the standard edition but it also includes the Plugger program for those of you wanting to make plugins and the new skin template for the skin makers out there.

Basically, all new users should go for the Standard installer while upgrading users will probably get the minimal version. The developer version is just for those people that want to be able to make plugins and skins - it has everything in it, but overkill for most users.

Hope that help guys.

The manual is very good Schwar (and everyone else who pitched in). Right up there. Nice job.

I have a suggestion for the manual

why not add pics for the tutorials
theya re a about 100000 times easier to follow with pictures
it looks too bare and plain wihtout them
