I now I want to get alamdv2 should i:
1)buy online or
2)wait for boxed version

how long till the boxed version comes out - will i be able to get it at a known shop?

Nobody knows the answer to either of these questions yet, not even us. We are working to get it out as soon as possible and in as many major shops as possible, but we do not know dates or stores yet.
Rest assured, the moment these details are known to us we will inform everyone on the website.

Here is some information I do know that might help you pick what copy to get.
The CD Version will come with about 110 plugins on the CD (selected from the 220+ now on the web site) and it will include everything from the downloadable Developer Installer. There will also be a quickstart manual of a few pages in hard copy (which I will upload to the site in PDF form) but the main AlamDV2 manual will be a PDF exactly like the download - otherwise the price would have to go up from £44.99.
This could change a bit depending on the distributors, but the main manual will be a PDF on the CD like the download version.

Hey Schwar, do you think that as soon as you know, you could post somewhere what plugins will go on the CD release? It would be neat because people could know if they're plugins are on the CD.

Yeah, if your work gets put on a CD that goes in stores, you're a professional! Well, sort of.

I know the details on the CD haven't been finalised, but do you think it'll ever reach the shores of the Far East? Because I'm eager to purchase the box version, but if it'll never reach me here in Asia, I'd purchase the online version.
I posted a similar msg in another part of the forum yesterday, but it vanished without a trace...
