I was just wondering if there's any way to make a preset out of stock footage. the reason is because I have some white background stock footage, and effects lab can only use multiply with presets. If there is any other way of doing it that would be helpful too.

The only way I know is that you could mask out the footage. If u do that, the background will become black and it would take a little time but that's the only way to do that in Effects lab lite.

The composite options in EffectsLab have absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with whether or not the stock footage is a preset. They have to do with whether or not there is an alpha channel in the footage.

If you convert your files to png instead of jpg, because png has an alpha channel (even though its totally opaque) your footage will get imported as "normal" blending mode. Which I believe is what you want.

You cannot make a preset out of stock footage. Presets are nothing more than a file containing the settings for one of the engines in the program, enabling the program to generate an effect to look a specific way.
For compositing tasks, you'll want to use either your editin rogram, which might be able to handle it, or look into something like Compositelab.

Not with EffectsLab Lite.
