While the preset system is overall very sound and very helpful, one thing about it irks me. The grade presets on the downloads page do not show the original background to which they were applied, and since all presets need some tweaking, they may not look at all the way they were intended on the new background. I think that only on the downloads page (since within the programs it shows a preview of your own footage) the original creator's background would be best. For example, my All the Way to the White House preset is intended for indoor scenes, such as parking garages. The outdoor scene in which it was previewed negates the effect almost completely. This is what it should look like:

Using a different background can actually be a helpful feature, as it demonstrates the versatility of a preset. You are absolutely correct about tweaking being necessary, but typically Tarn will try to select an appropriate image for the sample BG. One thing that can help is if you are quite specific in your description of the preset with regard to its intended usage. In the particular case of the preset you mentioned, I think the BG selected is quite similar to a parking garage in terms of the content; it is mostly enclosed, and has a lot of cars. But I agree that it does lose a bit of the effect from the sample you posted.
