What is the maximum amount of layers i can have in a single frame? I ask because i need to clone a miniature tent and composite it on an open field a lot of times..a LOT of times- Is there a maximum layer capacity?

I thought it was unlimited except by system capacity/memory etc but there may be a mathematical limit.

Lots of layers will be very slow to render as well unless you have a high powered pc. You could always do the shot in stages (add some tents, render add some more, render, etc) if you use uncompressed to retain image quality.

Dont forget that you can always render out and import the clip back in to get truely unlimited layers. And if you render it uncompressed then there will be no loss in quality no matter how many times you do it.
