Well, we’re not actually going to be there unfortunately (next year, perhaps...), but we are supporting the San Diego Comic-Con this weekend by giving FXhome software to the winners of the Comic-Con International Independent Film Festival (CCI: IFF to those in the know).

Jessica Alba is there

Comic-Con 2007 published its full schedule a couple of weeks back and it looks like it’s going to be a thrilling few days, with the likes of Rosario Dawson, Syd Mead, JJ Abrams, Ray Harryhousen, Jessica Alba, Jon Favreau, George Romero and Robert Downey Jr. showing up from the movie world, not to mention a whole host of top-notch comic book writers and artists.

Winners of the seven award categories will be able to choose from a copy of either EffectsLab Pro or CompositeLab Pro, while the filmmaker awarded the Judges’ Choice Award will receive a copy of VisionLab Studio.

Good luck to everyone with films in the CCI: IFF!

That's pretty cool... I saw that FXhome was a sponsor when I was up on the Comic-Com website a couple weeks ago. I'm going to be at the convention on Saturday but unfortunately the film awards ceremony where they'll be presenting the software as a prize is on Sunday....

That is awesome! Not sure about the rest of the news, I knew about the Indy stuff and am still not sure what to expect from Indy! Perhaps in five months a nice teaser will look good smile

I'm trying to not read anything about Indy. I'm just hoping it's going to be great. I doubt they can make it as good as Last Crusade, but I hope they can at least come close.

Same here. I'm hoping it will be as good as the other ones, and I was pleased to see Karen Allen join the cast - I missed her tons from the other 2, as she was the only proper, strong female character.

What I don't want to happen is a kind of Last Crusade retread where Shiah steps into his father's shoes, with Ford becoming the geriatric slapstick. I will hate the film if that happens.
