I just have a quick question about the license.

"A VisionLab exclusive commercial licence allows full use in all productions without requiring an FXhome on-screen credit."

What do they mean by on-screen credit exactly?

It means you don't have to add these...

...anywhere in your film.

To clarify, you don't have to use one of those credits, they're just there for convenience.

With the Lite and Pro products, you have to include a visible credit to FXhome somewhere during the film, such as during the end credits.

With VisionLab Studio, you don't need to include a credit.

I never really thought about this before, but what are other limits of the non-commercial license? I never worry about licenses because I never really get payed to work on films and make films, but I'd like to know what I can/can't do with it. I know that's what the license agreement is for, but I'm pretty lazy. Some quick key points maybe? Like:

Noncommercial License:
-FXHome software must be mentioned in credits if used in film.
-etc.
-etc.

I'm pretty sure that's it. You can still make money off of your projects or whatever, you just have to have on-screen credit for the software.

Some jobs, such as television commercials, have no credits whatsoever, and therefore would require the commercial license.

Actually, after typing this, I checked the license agreement, which took far less time than typing this post. I think your laziness is making you work harder. smile

Lincese agreement:

3.6 In the event that you produce a film (other than for your own private use) in any format whatsoever which features special effects produced from the Software you may not distribute such film without having endorsed on the film one of the credits found at this website: http://fxhome.com/credits/

That's it.

So you can't just add something like "Special Effects by Fxhome" in your end credits? I swear I saw that on a movie on this website, instead of acually putting a credit from http://fxhome.com/credits/. But it is possible that the user owned VisionLab, and therefore didn't need to credit fxhome at all.

Hum.

PS- I admire your lazyness, Serpent. wink

If you note Tarn's post higher up in this thread, you don't have to use one of those movies. they re there for your convenience, but any type of on-screen credit will be acceptable.
