I'm going to see it friday and my friend might go see the midnight showing. I can't freakin wait to see this. A bunch of the critics gave it awsome ratings and one said "...smartest movie I've ever seen..."

I know its not going to disappoint.

I think it looks great! Loved the prequels, and judging from the trailer (which may or may not be a good thing to do) this looks to be more of the same, which is cool!

This time, Jason Bourne gets revenge on the people that killed his loved one and stole his past.......but this time, it's not the same movie as 'Supremacy', because this time................it's in AMERICA! Yes!

I'm...
speechless...
this...
was...

THE BEST MOVIE OF 2007. There, I said it. I haven't been so entertained for years. I loved this so damn much. If you hated the shakey camera in The Bourne Surpremacy, get ready to hate it again. I liked it imo, because it keeps making you think you missed something, and it keeps you guessing. Throughout the whole entire movie I was tense. Matt Damon was a copmlete badass as Bourne. I was completely entertained by Bourne's wittyness throughout the movie.

*SPOILERS*

The whole time I though Bourne was going to die, along with Nikki. The fight scenes were... amazing. Especially the one Between Bourne and this assasin 'Desh'. The ending left an opening for a fourth movie, but I hope they just leave it as it is. Oh, and let's not forget the car chases. Those were completely stunning.

*END SPOILERS*

If there's any advice I can give you as a member here, it must be: GO SEE THIS MOVIE!

I thought this was fantastic and the "shaky cam" thing really only bothered me in the conversation shot near the beginning between the reporter and his contact. Great end to the story, probably favorite film of the year.

Spoiler:
Also, I believe kind of a flaw: The main female actress who helped Bourne at the beginning typed in "NEAL Daniels" on her laptop. Later in the film Daniel's name was spelled "NIEL." That would most definitely effect her "search" or whatever techie thing she was doing. Although I could be mistaken and it really isn't pivotal if it were true. </endrant>

Absolutely amazing. This is without question the best film of the year thus far. It was perfect in so many ways. I don't even know where to begin. This film had it all.

-Paul Greengrass is in complete control of his camera this entire time. Supremacy was amazing, and this time around it was perfect.

-All the acting is spot on. Damon and the returning characters are all spot on. Ontop of that, Albert Finney,David Stratham(however you spell that), and Paddy Consodine are brilliant.

-I can't describe how amazing all the action pieces are, except that after the fight between Desh and Bourne(the infamous fight with the book from the commercials) literally left my speechless. All I could do after that fight was try and slow down my heartrate.

All I am going to be able to talk about for the rest of the summer now is how awesome this movie was.Stop reading this. Go see this movie.

Also, I am stuck between wanting more sequels. This ending was perfect to the entire trilogy and I would be happy if this was the end because it was great(espcially that new version of Moby's Extreme Ways), but I would also watch Greengrass's Bourne flicks as long as he kept making them.

Well. That was one of the smartest, coolest and most thrilling films I've ever seen in my entire life.

Its official: The Bourne trilogy is the most consistent, intelligent and intense series of films I've ever seen. Not a single low point or lame scene in the entire thing.

Man, I can't get this movie out of my head.

*MORE SPOILERS*

It was subtly implied that Nikki and Bourne(Webb) had a love relationship in the past. I'd have to see the movie again to tell, but I could almost swear that had happened.

I thought the cleverness of 'the light on the moving fan' trick was great. Those guys completely fell into that trap.

I loved that arrogant sinister look on Desh's face when he blew that bomb up right in front of Bourne. It was perfect.

*END SPOILERS*

I'm seeing this again tomorrow. Also, I agree with RebornProductions, I was shaking after this movie.

Coolest movie I've ever seen. This movie has officially taken the FIRST PLACE spot in my all time favorite features. Not only was it the best film I've ever seen, but the best date I've ever had! Absolutely loved it!

The Bourne/Desh fight was probably the coolest fight scene ever filmed IMO.

I saw the midnight opening of the movie last Thursday and I have to say it was pretty awsome. not my favorite movie but good none the less... of course I never saw the other 2 but with that in mind the script was written well enough for people like me who haven't seen any of the others or people who've only seen maybe the first one or second were still able to follow along.

But I'm not sure if it was better then Shooter which remains to be my favorite movie of the year. 300 isn't as impressive on the tiny screen so its not really a contender for best movie.

*SPOILER*

One of the best things about the movie is that it starts in the middle of where the 2nd movie was, and the middle of the 3rd movie features verbatim scenes and shots from the very end of the 2nd movie, making you go "Ooooohhh" when it happens and adds alot more to the movie.

Especially the shot of Bourne floating in the water from an underneath shot. What I thought the whole time was "awesome! they made that shot look EXACTLY like the starting shot to the first movie, so that you think the shot from the first movie is part of the third."

*END*

Wasn't better than Shooter, though, I agree. wink

Yeah, I bought Shooter on dvd thinking it would be comparible to the Bourne films like the advertisements said. I was sadly dissapointed when I found it wasn't in the least.

Shooter wasn't lame, just a completely different movie. The Bourne books compared with Point of Impact have much more character development, simply because that's the kind of book they are.

Shooter was good, but the Bourne Ultimatum was amazing. I saw it again last night and was still in awe. The ending was just so great, and the ending song "extreme ways" is awesome and makes the ending that much better.

I've never read Point of Impact, but I just felt the ending was weak and I couldn't stand Glover's lisp. Maybe I have to watch it again.

Seeing Ultimatum for the second time tonight and absolutely excited.

I didn't say shooter was lame. I said "Compared" to this, it is.

Shooter = 90's throwback action film worth seeing once in the theater.

Bourne Ultimatum = far more intelligent, better writing, better directing, better cinematography etc...

I don't have anything overly new to add, but I thought it was great! The first two Bourne movies are among my favorites, so this was the movie I was looking forward to most this summer. I wasn't disappointed!

SPOILERS

I liked the way they worked in the scene from the second one. My biggest problem with the movie was that I was hoping for a little more closure in the end. I still loved it though, and it HAD to end with the same feel as the first two. They actually had me concerned that he was dead for just a second. I also could have gone for the "badguy" to be outside the CIA for once, but it didn't really bother me at all.

END SPOILERS

All in all, I thought it was a great movie. The action was amazing. I think it had some of the best action sequences ever. The camerawork was very stylized, but I thought it worked well. The story was good. And the acting was nearly perfect. Now I can't wait for the DVD biggrin

SPOILERS
I was hoping they would include more about who David was before he volunteered for this gig and how he got to be there. It was kinda an abrupt ending.

I think the whole shaky camera thing was a little overdone, but besides that it was amazing. Definitely a must-see.

Just saw it yesterday. Loved It. It's quite rare that the third movie in a trilogy is as good as its predecessors. This movie was even better. I got that really great satisfying feeling of after seeing a great movie. It was definitely worth my $7. This is the best movie I've seen all year. My only complaint would be that the shaky camera made it hard to see what was going on in some of the fight scenes.

Yeah, absolutely, I think it would be very worth while in creating a preset like the bars in his flashbacks (I thought they were quite interesting). Another good thing is the location - the cramped space of morrocco, the towering skyscrapers of NYC, the people of Waterloo starion, it all seems so good.

*Slight spoiler*

I didn't like how they introduced him to Blackbriar when he shoots that guy in the hood, but it was a clear meaning.
Killing desh was slick.
That guy (the 'Asset') was pretty cool with his silenced MP5 when he kills that guy in the station.
My goodness, at the end, i thought that he had died, but boy I was wrong.
WHY DOESN'T NIKKI DIE? KILL HER OFF IF SHE DOESN'T GO OUT WITH BOURNE!

If they killed Nicky off, they wouldn't have that same, witty ending. smile

As for the flashback bars thing. They seemed to be 2d motion tracked. When the camera moved (and move it did!) the bars seemed to move with the scene as they were animating and camera moving. Just an observation for people attempting this.

Awesome movie. They really upped the set pieces on this one, it felt like I was watching the best bits of a Michael Bay movie. I loved the fight scenes and the spy stuff that relies on the characters' instincts rather than flashy gadgets. I love Paddy Considine too (Guardian reporter!) and hope he'll go on to good things from this.

I loved the running across rooftops scene set in Tangiers... I loved the whole setup of that plus, though I liked MI3, it totally ruled the similar scene in that for style, tension and pace. And good to see Julia Styles' character have a bit more to do, and I liked the way some of the things she did echoed Marie.

Glad to hear it'll probably be the last because it then stands as a perfect trilogy.

Looks like I am the only one who hated this movie. I actually considered walking out half way through. I couldnt see the point of staying because I really didnt care what bourne was doing, or why the agents were trying to cover stuff up.

The action was good but apart from that it was such a waste of time, I can barely remember anything that happened in it. All it the film consists of are fights with shakey cam, and a totally boring story.

Waste of money, worse film I have seen in ages.

I'm angry at you, JackPot. I just came home from this movie, all happy, all excited that this was the best movie ever, and then you have to butt in with your negativity. Thank you. smile

Anyway, I've nothing much to add, except for that this is my personal favorite of the three films, and that ending of him in the water was SO cool. I loved this movie, so much. Although, I did get a headache half way through. Most likely due to the shaky cam, but that's ok. It won't have the same effect on the (much) smaller screen.

The fight with Desh was my favorite part.

Finally saw it. I was very impressed, especially with the way they fit the first half of the movie inside between the events of the second movie and the very last scene of the second movie. I thought that the filmmakers drew exactly the right line between shaking the camera and showing the action, a slight improvement from Supremacy. A prime example was the Bourne/Desh fight, as you could tell what was going on even though there was so much blurring.

In the first movie he uses a pen as a weapon, the second a rolled up magazine, and the third, a book. Awesome.

I just wish they had shown more of the implied Bourne/Nikki relationship, and it would have been cool to see Conklin or Abbott in some of the flashbacks.
