I did a search, but couldn't find the answer I needed on this topic. When wanting to resize an actor using a green screen, how is that achieved? I'm thinking of something like Hagrid from the Harry Potter movies, or the Hobbits from LOTR.

It's a relatively simple matter of filming your actor on a greenscreen, which enables you to then isolate him. You can then enlarge/shrink him, either using animation tools or by the original placement of your camera (in relation to the rest of the shot).

Check out the 'Giant attack' example project that comes with CompositeLab. That shows how to make someone look giant, simply by filming them at a specific angle on a greenscreen, then compositing that onto the background with minimal fiddling.

Thanks, Tarn. Now that I've gotten my green screen (a whopping 20 ft long on 2 sides, 12 ft high, with floor filling the rest) I can start to experiment with these things.

I'll make sure to watch "Giant attack"
