Yes, you can pay for all the Fxhome products using their

"pay with a beagle" option when checking out.

More seriously, if you can't pay for software then your only option is to search for free software, e.g.:

- Windows Movie Maker
- Avid free version (which incidentally is being discontinued in September):
- Blender
- LSMaker:

If your parents won't pay for one of the Fxhome programs, find out why. If they can't afford it, there's nothing you can do, but if there are other reasons then there's room for possible persuasion. E.g. buying the software rather than something else in the future.

Good luck but don't give up on making movies even if you can't buy this software at this point in time.

If your parents won't buy it for you you could save up and buy it yourself. Or, as said before, dont give up on persuasion. biggrin

Or get a job and show how much you want the software by saving up yourself, maybe ask your parents (if they're very kind) to 'match fund' you, so you raise half, they give you half once you've raised your half. That would be extremely generous of them, most of us have to earn every penny, and then lose a chunk of that in tax!

Yeah, I'd say try and earn some money yourself and buy it with your own money. Or work out a deal with your parents to pay for half and get them to pay for half, thats how I got xbox a few years ago.

If that doesn't seem to work, maybe you can make a film without any effects of compositing and show it to your parents to let them know you really want to make films. They might be afraid you will get the program and then never use it (as I stare at the dust covered guitar in my garage).

I don't know, you know your parents best. If you really want it I bet you can earn the money or their support.

My experience...

In 1991 (after 2 years of asking) i managed to get an Amiga (the only computer at the time for video graphics related stuff).
I then took a year of using a "borrowed" copy of Deluxe Paint 3 to persuade them to buy me the official version.

The point i am getting at is not to use pirate stuff, but use the free stuff to produce some results and then use the demo's to produce stuff you could create if only you had fxhome...

At the time i also wanted a guitar, my parents wouldn't get me one so... i put up with an ancient 12 string with a warped neck, eventually they realised it wasn't just fad and got me a second hand electric guitar...

Ironically this also brought about the end of my video work as rendering times back then was ridiculous and i used to play the guitar while waiting, eventually i stopped turning the computer on!

So... you need to sell fxhome to you parents with a home made advert smile

I agree with TemporalCoder. I have a younger brother who wants everything... till hes got it. my parents gave up cause hell put up with the bad gear just to convince them its not a fad, then he got his new skateboard (the most recent incident) and now he doesnt use it at all.

This is probably what your parents are worried about. probably.
