Wow! Talk about production values. This looks like its going to be amazing. The teaser was exactly what it needed to be. I hope the full movie has a good pace to it. I'm actually going to give this a 5 and I hope more people view and comment.

That looks really good, something was missing, don't know what I'm guessing more cinematic grading, but not sure.
Got a quick question, is that pictures with the planet and spaceship a screenshot from the film?

Unfortunately, no. None of the outer space scenes made the final cut. Instead they were relegated to marketing
I have to smile, since there is PLENTY of grading going on, it just isn't harsh enough to make it noticeable, which is what we are going for. There are several scenes in the film in which grading is apparent, but we tried to avoid the grading's noticablility as much as possible.
It could also be that the gamma levels are throwing things off. I have issues with Quicktime and Windows. Had this been an avi or wmv, the blacks would have been truer, and the overall color more representative of our actual intent.
Thanks for the critiques, keep 'em coming!!

Hey ya go b4, VideoWrapped Flash
Hope flash works for you. Unfortunately, video wrap has severely degraded the sound, so don't take that as representative of the final work.

interesting, didn't show much of the story (but that's the way a trailer should be, if you want to see a story watch the film)

Which, based on the release date of the teaser is....TODAY!!
Yes, you heard that right. Rather than release a teaser and wait for it to play out of the cinema, we decided to release the movie fairly close to the teaser, thus keeping excitement perked. As we speak, the film has been submitted and awaiting approval. So get your internet tubes warmed up for a full episode-length download.
Which raises a question for me. When the film goes live in the cinema, should this teaser be removed?

Nah, leave the teaser up and just leave a message saying the full movie is available.
The full movie wasn't uploaded in time for me to download and check it out yesterday in order to get it online, but I'm downloading it right now and will get it into the cinema ASAP.

The mp4 download you've submitted doesn't seem to be working - I've tried to download it twice now and it seems to cut out halfway through playback, as if the server didn't let the entire file be downloaded. Any ideas?

It did it to me too 3 times during the download, but just keep the IE window open and start the download again - it will resume from the place it stopped.
Did for me anyway.

That's strange, I'm not sure why it would do that. My server still has plenty of bandwidth left...
Tarn, were you viewing it in the browser via streaming, or using the right click downlown way? Would that make a difference?
Shoot, anyone wanna mirror it for me?

I was right-click downloading the file before watching it. It appeared to complete the download (I wasn't at the computer when it finished), but upon loading it up it only plays a certain amount before the picture freezes or goes green, presumably because some of the data is missing.

Hmm, I'm not sure what would be causing that. I just tried downloading it myself and it completed fine. It sounds like a partial timeout in the download, but I can't reproduce it. On another forum, a few people were having the same problem. Some could get it fine, others encountered what you are experiencing.
This is frustrating.

I'll mirror it on my server for a few weeks till you get it up on fxhome. Our server is monster so it should be quick to download.
The link is here: http://film.sketchworkproductions.com/movies/SG2TheMovie.mp4
Just give it an hour or so for it to be put up.
Take care and keep up the good work.

Just out of the blue:
In what format was that shot (or cropped)?

It was shot in framed 16x9, and then rendered to the edges.

Oh OK. (I was just curious, cause it looked like 2.35:1 or something similar.)
