I just puchased VisionLab, and it looks great! The thing is, I used to have AlamDV2 then EffectsLab Lite, and I never knew how to add effects to a still picture. I can't seem to import pictures. I rememer I did it in Alam. Does anyone know how (if its possible)?

[Mod] Changed topic title to better explain the problem

Hey, great that you like VisionLab, it sure is a fantastic piece of software! If you create a new project and fill out the project settings tab to the same dimensions as your image is, you can then import your image under the "Media" tab in the project.

Remember to change the in-/out-points as well as the render settings to only render a one-frame image file. Let me know if you have any problems making this work! smile

Thanks alot! biggrin Now I can import pictures and add effects.

The problem is rendering. I set the in/out to 1 frame but it still renders two frames as if its a movie. There is another problem aswell. If I render QuickTime None (this applys to movies to) evrything in the frame gets these horisontal lines from top to bottom (including the effects). The render toturial says this is the best format for quality, but when I play it back in QuickTime everything gets all wierd, does anyone know what this is?

Thanks in advance smile

EDIT; Oh and one more thing. When I render my projects the playback at dubble speed, did I do something to the settings?

This all has to do with interlacing. I'm not totally sure how it works, but basically you need to change your project settings to a different interlacing method (deinterlace
). This will fix both the double speed and the lines.

K, I see. Where do I change my project settings if I'm in the middle of a project?

I think if you right click the clips in the media browser, you can change their properties.

When I changed the interlacing it changed the movie. It cut off the last 50 or so frames and made all my neonlight key frames wrong.

It's probably because you keyframed the neon lights before you deinterlaced it, thus the keyframes are keyframed on the interlaced frames. If you don't understand a word I just said, hopefully someone else can make it more clear. biggrin

That makes perfect sense smile The thing is, I will have to start over...lol. Thats really no biggie, cause its just 300 frames in my clips and I've just keyframed one saber. The thing is, I still can*t find the right Scanning/Filetype, to make the render perfect. (I made a new topic for this question).
