If you're a user of Steam, Valve's online gaming service, then we want you in the FXhome group! The Steam Community launched a few weeks back and there's now a special FXhome group specifically to allow FXhomers to get together and shoot each other (or race each other) with ease. So fire up Steam and search for 'FXhome'. Or you could just click here. See you on the gaming grid!

I'm pretty sure that Hybrid and xcession play CS fairly regularly. I've never quite got into it myself, mainly due to an innate lack of skill on my part. razz

Team Fortress 2, however, is superb. I've mostly only had time to play it with randoms, and it's still been great fun. Usually I only enjoy multiplayer games if I play specifically with people I know, as otherwise it feels too anonymous and bland. TF2 has such a massive injection of character that it just works superbly.

The one exception was a brief match yesterday when I performed valiantly as a sniper, defending my teammates from afar, until xcession snuck up behind me and stabbed me in the back.

Damned xcession. I'll get my revenge one day.

Heh, I'm going to need to give TF2 a try sometime, i hear everyone talking about it, therefore it must be good! Heh
For some reason I can't play any detailed maps on Counter Strike, i can nly play the mini maps like Iceworld. It just laggs too much on like Dust and all the other maps and works perfectly fine on other maps. Does anyone know what could be a solution to this? I had te same internet connection as my other computer, and now i have a little bit better graphics card aswell, but the games runs worse! sad
Bugga..

You could try turning your video settings down as well as check your task manager for background applications using up your ram. Needless to say that you won't be playing any counterstrike with me unless you play the proper maps.

Awesome stuff, just joined! smile Will have to pre-order the Orange Box sometime and play TF2, but I still have to finish Bioshock and Halo 3 (which arrives tomorrow here in Sweden) as well as keep up with studies! But I'll probably see you all online in TF2 someday! biggrin

Steam aye...?

All this talk of online gaming has made me drool a slight bit... XD

I'm rather fond of GunZ myself and used to play a few other multiplayers too such as Americas Army (i'm ironically English and live in England) and Wolfenstein (which was great fun, aslong as you kept to the same server, otherwise you lost all your skills and stats >_<)

I need to look into this 'TF2'. It sounds good and similar to Wolfenstein so it will appeal to me greatly.
