Hello all! I'm new here as well as new to Composite Lab Pro. I just ordered it the other day and should be here soon. I am a very quick learner and having read some tutorials on the site I do have a basic idea of what Composite Lab Pro is all about. I am familiar with After Effects and Lightwave 3D so that could also be helping me out to understand CompositeLab.

Anyway my question is How to make it look like someone gets hit by a car. I have searched on the site but no similar questions have been asked. Heres how I would do it. Put the camera on a tripod and film a car driving by, the film a person walking out into the middle of the street where the car would be driving by at. Then composite them both into the interface, and right where the car is about the hit the person mask him out and key frame him getting knoced backwards by the car. Would that be a good what to go about doing this?

Thanks for the help in advance.

that's the only way I would do it. it's realistic and easy. There has been threads about that. Look in the filmakers forum.

Thanks for the help Rody. I'll definatly try the effect once I get CompositeLab. Which reminds me. Did anyone on here ever order off of Ask Mr.Video.com? Becuase I was suppose to recieve my package today but it didn't come yet. They are selling CompositeLab for 25 dollars cheaper than on the FX Home site and I was juts wondering if there is anything a little wierd about Ask Mr.Video.com

I followed what you wrote and made one myself. It came out incredible. Watch it, you won't regret it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uXuPpp_3KUk

Cool! Glad it helped. Looks pretty good too, although you should try and make the mask conform to the shape of your body around each frame. It will take longer but also look better. I made one as well that I will post up as soon as I put it on youtube.
